Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Yum, delish!! Following other reviews, I added the green peppers in an hour before it was time to take it out. Also, I wanted to have it really saucy, so when I added the green peppers, I also stuck a bullion cube in a cup of hot water, and added that as well. After the meal was done, I scooped out about 1/2 cup of the juice, and added cornstarch to it, then back in the pot to thicken up the liquid, so it would be a nice gravy over my egg noodles.

Slow Cooker Chicken Curry with Quinoa

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
This was okay. With my changes, I would have given it 4 stars, but as written, it's only 3. I added cumin, cinnamon, chili powder, garlic cloves and carrots. The leftovers the next day were better then the first day. The quinoa must have soaked in all the favors by then.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
I had a lot of left over hard boiled eggs, so I decided to try this. It's really good, but really rich.

Double Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was just okay. I made these in cupcake form instead of the cake. I took them out and the middles totally fell. Even after letting them cool for about an hour, I couldn't frost them without them falling apart. Although their appearance was a disaster, they were pretty good.

Love the Mama Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
Delish! I like my lemon bars a little thicker, so I used a 9 x 9 brownie pan instead of the 9 x 13. I think they turned out great! Will make again.

Fresh Pear Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I couldn't really taste the pear flavor that much. I will double the amount of pears next time. Also, it got pretty soggy really quick.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
This was pretty good, but there was just too much butter on it. I will cut it in half next time.

Restaurant-Style Chicken Scampi

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
I thought it was bland and pretty watery. I'll have to try different alfredo sauce next time.

This was really good, but the flavor didn't pop as much as I'd hope.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
They were good, they just turned out a bit too cakey for ginger cookies I think. I'll try flattening them more next time.

Oh my goodness, I have never tasted chocolate cookies this good! I made them 4 days ago, and they still taste fresh! I didn't alter a thing to the recipe. Just great the way they are! Thanks for such an awesome recipe!

It was really good, but a bit too oily. Next time, I'll use less oil.

Autumn Harvest Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
These were pretty good. A tad dry. I didn't really taste the orange too much so I think next time I'll add a little more. Also, I only used a 1/2 cup cranberries, and then a 1/2 cup raisins.

Polish Style Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Growing up in a huge polish community I was used to eating homemade perogies a lot. Now that I moved away, I don't get them that often. This is a good substitute for them that takes a fraction of the time to make. It's really good. Make sure to have sour cream on hand.

Easy Almond Chicken

This tasted very good. Also very rich. Along with the evaporated milk and soup, I added just a touch of lemon extract to give it that extra kick. It came out perfect! I served it over rice. Yum!

Molasses Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Wow. This was really good. Super juicy chicken! I did however, use boneless chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken. I also wanted to make this into a meal, so I added sliced potatoes and sliced apples to the dish and baked with the chicken. I also made about twice as much sauce so that it covered all my chicken, apples, and potatoes. A very yummy fall meal.
