Sweet Grilled Peaches

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2014
Delicious and easy! I had some ripe peaches and wanted dessert so I searched and found this recipe. Didn't follow to a T - I sliced one ripe peach and removed the pit, added butter to the pit center, sprinkled with turbinado sugar, cinnamon, a little ground ginger and drizzled with honey. Placed in sealed foil and under the broiler for 10 minutes. Delicious and great with vanilla ice cream on top, would also be great on waffles for breakfast. Low fat and tasssssty!

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This was such an easy chilli recipe. I wasn't sure about the pumpkin but it gives it a smooth, rich consistency. I used whole tomatoes which I broke up with a wooden spoon while cooking, added 1 can kidney beans, and added some sugar to take the edge off the tomatoes. Its easy and tasty.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
I've tried a few pumpkin bread recipes and this one is by far and away the best. It tastes even better a day or two after baking - its sweet and spicy from the ginger. I also get compliments on it.

Eighth Race Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
For BEVTHEBROKER or anyone who has liquid in the pie/won't set: In my experience, when I overbeat the batter - beat too long or worse use an electric mixer too long or on too high a speed, it causes air to get into the batter and then as it releases when it cooks you get left with a soggy bottom in the crust or it doesn't cook all the way through, notably in the middle its raw. I've seen this happen to me with other recipes, mostly cakes. If you try it again, just stir to combine the ingredients once you cream the sugar and butter and corn syrup. See if this might help. Good Luck!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
I'm eating this right now at my desk, and it tastes even better after a day or too. Very easy to make, I ommited the onions and peppers because I don't care for them. The dish is somewhat sweet due to the brown sugar, but guests at a halloween party recently loved this dish.
