I guess 3 stars = "good". Not great, not excellent. I see no point in reviewing a recipe after making adjustments, so I made this as written. Tasty, although I wouldn't call it kung pao. Just a spicy Asian stir-fry. Authentic kung pao should not be swimming in sauce, so I think the amount of sauce was right, if not the consitency. It would be better with less cornstarch, and if you like more sauce you could always make some extra on the side. No dried hot peppers? No ginger? I should have known better... It's a good basic recipe on its own, though, could be used as a starter for other things.
