I'm a 30 year old work-at-home mom of a 14 month old toddler and I'm expecting my next one in March 2008. I own a small laundry business that I do out of the home. My husband and I love throwing parties and playing cards. Our entire focus is our family, and I think cooking for my family is the best way to spend time with them and show them how much I love them.
My favorite things to cook
Everyday meals, hearty tummy warmers, breads and cookies (rarely), lots of chicken and ground beef, big Sunday dinners. If it looks good, no matter how difficult it seems, I'll try it at least once. My hubby's a good guinea pig.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We get together with my husband's family for Sunday dinner once a month. I love this because he has a big family and it allows me to cook for a crowd and try new recipes out on them.
My cooking triumphs
My stuffed chicken parmesan is always a big hit. And each time I'm able to bake something, I surprise myself by actually being able to pull it off. Any time my husband goes nuts over one of my recipes, it makes me so proud.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to even mention. My mom makes this amazing balsamic chicken and I can't make it to save my life (even with her excellent instructions). I'll keep trying, though!
