Fantastic! Made the recipe exactly as stated, and it was wonderful. My husband said it was his new favorite.

Biscuit Baking Mix

This stuff is perfect. I never keep Bisquik in the house, which has kept me from making certain recipes. Now I keep a batch of this stuff in the freezer and I'm good to go.

Pasta Isabarte

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This was okay. I'm not sure why I expected it to be any different, but it's basically just pasta, sauce, and veggies.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
Very good and simple to make. I used Ritz cracker crumbs instead of bread crumbs, and it was delicious. We had a little extra glaze and so sprinkled some on top because it was so yummy.

Baked Zesty Carrots

Was good, but nothing special. I'm not a huge horseradish fan, but the flavor was not too strong. I will probably keep looking for a good carrot recipe.

Bleu Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
Made this exactly as directed and it was a big hit. My boyfriend loves blue cheese, while I am only so-so on it, but the flavor was creamy but not too overpowering. A very yummy and adult mac and cheese.

My boyfriend said this was the best thing I'd ever made. I found the sea salt at Whole Foods.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
This was a huge hit with my chocolate-loving boyfriend. It was almost too chocolatey for me, but I managed to put away quite a bit of it with a glass of milk. Definitely looking forward to trying this again soon with different pudding combinations. I might try melting the chocolate chips down some next time, as I'm not sure if I like the hard bits.

Cabbage Jambalaya

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
I had my doubts, but this was really good. We used Andouille sausage, and the spice of the meat made any extra spices completely unnecessary. I was concerned when I added the cabbage, because it took up a LOT of room in the pot, but after a few minutes, it boiled down to a reasonable size.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
Deeeelicious. I did this in the slow cooker. There were only two of us, so I only used 1 pound of corned beef, but I still used the whole bottle of beer (it was too early in the morning to just drink it). I also added in some cabbage and potatoes to the pot about four hours in, and they were tender and delicious. The corned beef definitely was a hit with my boyfriend, who looked longingly at the last bit of it and was thrilled when I told him that I was too full to eat it.

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
This was pretty good and a nice way to sneak some brussels sprouts on everyone. I think I didn't cook everything long enough because the sweetness was very uneven - sweet in some spots, but still a bit bitter in others. We also used pecans instead of pistachios, because that's what we had.

I made a jar of this mix and brought it in to work. Whenever I want some, I just get some hot water and mix! It's a good way to warm up in a cold office.

This was pretty good. I double the cream of chicken soup and tomatoes, but otherwise followed the recipe. Nothing too fancy, but a good simple casserole.
