About this Cook
Hey! I found my drive to cook about two years ago when I finally realized the horrific dishes that my mom would concoct for our dinner. In despiration, I began to religiously watch the food network in hopes that I would be able to turn the tides on our not so apatising family dinners. In good time, I was led to this wonderful site which I am now addicted to!
My favorite things to cook
I'm actually a recently pronounced vegetarian, so I am always looking for yummy meatless recipes to whip up for myself, but which also satisfy the palate of my two carnivorous best friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking Christmas cookies with my mom :) Even as a little girl I would stand on a stool, icing in hand, and make beautiful creations on top of freshly baked sugar cookies. I do admit, I occasionally snuck in a lick or two of butter cream. Ok, so let's face it, the amount of icing I ate by far exceeded the amount that made it on the cookies :)

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
This comment is most likely going to be lost in the abyss of five star comments, but I couldn't resist the temptation to leave my up most appreciation for these delightful treats. You can't mess these up! I made them last night, and put them in my fridge. Then in the morning set them in the sun to rise a bit before popping them in the oven. As I devour this incredible roll of goodness, I slowly melt with the butter and brown sugar godliness!

Hamburger Cookies
My best friend makes this recipe, but instead of thin mints, she uses peppermint patties. DELICIOUS!

Sour Cream Sugar Cookies III
WONDERFUL! So I changed the recipe on accident. As a mistake, I used 2c butter 2c sugar when I was creaming them together. Realizing my mistake, I added another 1/4c flour to my dry ingredients to compensate. Then in addition, I used 1 tea. of almond extract. This created a wonderful sweet, slightly nutty flavor that is absolutely devine! On their own, these cookies are a bit plain, but pair them with a little buttercream, and they are TO DIE FOR! Yum.
