Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
I made this as is and loved it. I loved the crispy edges that developed when using a bit of butter on the skillet to cook.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
If I had to do the recipe over again I would use less cream cheese. I thought it overpowered the beef.

My Mom's Raised Doughnuts

I thought the donuts were okay, not great. I used bread flour so I am not sure if that changes anything.

Cheese Ravioli with Fresh Tomato and Artichoke Sauce

I didn't really like this dish. It was okay as a one-off random dinner, but definitely not going to be a regular. Thanks for the recipe!

Good bagels. I do not think they are as good as what you get at the bakery, but they are cheaper!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I made this recipe for a football game party we had for the USC vs Utah game. Though on the field the result wasn't pretty, this chili made up for the game. Everyone loved it! I wasn't sure what "Green Chili's" were (I've only saw canned green chili's), I just assumed that they were jalapeno's. I diced them and included the seeds of one. This is easily the best chili recipe I have found online. Thanks for sharing!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
I'd give it 5 stars but, to no fault of the recipe in iteself, a lot of the cream cheese leaked out and I found that it took quite a good while to cook since you cannot really put them on the lower rack without the bacon grease catching fire. I used the same recipe but I started to put them in the oven to avoid the above issues.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
We followed some suggestions left by others. We added another bottle of sauce (well 1/2 a bottle) and we also split the cottage cheese in half and added Ricotta cheese for the other half. We also added some other spices to the sauce since it tasted pretty bland. Will make this again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
I followed some other people's suggestions... I only baked them for 35 minutes for the first go round and about another 20 minutes after adding the soup mixture. I also added a dollop or two of heavy whipping cream to give it some umph. It was a pretty good meal and I'll make this again sometime.

Sylvia's Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2011
These were great and really easy to make. Per some advice in the reviews I cut out 1/4 cup of ketchup and added 1/4 cup BBQ sauce. A lot of people have said that the sauce end of this recipe ended up being too much, I halved the recipe all together and I had Bo more than an 1/8th of a cup left. Thanks for the recipe!!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Fantastic simple sauce and really easy to prepare. I did as others have suggested and used only one can whole tomatoes and one can crushed. For the meatballs I did 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb hot grated Italian sausage. I also added 1/2 t. of crushed red pepper flakes to the mix. I also did one half of the meatballs by browning in a pan and adding to sauce and the other half I baked in the over @ 350 for 25 minutes before adding to the sauce. In the future I will bake them before adding... I like the crispy outside... Loved both of these items and glad others have done the trial and error before I got to this... I gave it 5 stars after the changes and it was easy to make.

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
I followed this recipes as written. I saw some posts concerned with too much salt, but I wasnt able to taste it. The only thing I would suggest is place foil on your pan because the sugars char and it is quite tough to get off. Other than that I gave it 4 stars because it was good. It is quite time consuming to flip every 20 minutes but these were falling off the bone by the end!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This recipe was great... I made it with one diced jalapeno (could have added one more and would have been fine) other than that it was too the book. Next time however, I am going to add more cream soup so there is more sauce on the inside of the tortilla.
