Best Burger Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
When using "extra lean" ground beef the burger tends to be way too dry. Whenever making burgers I always use 80/20. This ensures a great tasting juicy burger.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This recipes makes the most moist turkey breast you will ever eat. The only thing I did different was I omitted the soup mix and made my own spice mixture and rubbed it on the bird. Too good :)

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
This recipe is so easy and oh so good. I didn't want a smoky bbq taste so I used "Bone Suckin" bbq sauce. It has the best flavor. When I took the beef out to shred, I spooned off the fat from the sauce. Then I added a little bit of coarse salt, pepper and dark brown sugar. Wow! It gave the sauce just the right amount of sweet to go with the tang. I also prepared my homeade coleslaw to serve on or with the meat. We ate it on steamed onion rolls with the meat and slaw. Too good. I will be making this one of my go to party dishes for sure.

Brisket with Cranberry Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
Excellent base recipe. I used a chuck roast instead of the brisket which came out very tender and delicious. I also added a little bit of worstershire in the cranberry/tomato mixture for added flavor. At the end I removed the meat, skimmed the fat, added a bit of brown sugar and kosher salt to really perk up the flavor and finally some Wondra flour to thicken the gravy. The end result was fantastic! I will make this easy recipe again and again.

Slow-Cooked Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I also got this recipe a few years ago from Taste of Home Magazine. It's very good with flank steak or london broil. My only complaint is the pre-slow cooker work that has to be done. I like to toss everything in the slow cooker, set it and forget it! But if you have some extra time in the morning it's a good one to try.

Green Pepper Tomato Salad

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
This was one of the worst salads I have ever served to guests. I know this because it was hardly touched after the initial serving. The green pepper was way too strong and over powered the entire dish. Very disappointing. Will not make this again, I'll stick to my own summer salads.

Egg in a Boat

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
Very easy and delicious. My grandmother used to make this for me and my sisters when we were little. She called them "Moon Over Miami's", she did live in Florida though so I suppose that's where the name came from :)

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Awesome recipe! I used Bone Suckin' BBQ sauce (sometimes hot, sometimes original) and Kraft Shredded Mozzarella with a touch of Philly for that extra creamy and cheesy factor. Will definately make over and over again. Thanks for the great recipe!

Barbeque Bacon Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
Made this with Bone Suckin' BBQ Sauce. So good with the original or the spicy sauce. Great go to dinner. I like to serve with fries on the side and some extra bbq sauce for dipping.
