About this Cook
I have 3 daughters and one stepdaughter. I love to cook, listen to music, read, write, take pictures, scrapbook, etc. I am cursed with an unholy love for all things David Boreanaz. I love forensic shows. I have a BA in HR, but currently am a stay at home mom.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, muffins - I do a lot of experimental cooking as well, when it comes to dinner.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The turkey roasting in the oven on Thanksgiving is such a comfort to me - I adore the way the smell of the sage and other herbs fill the house!
My cooking triumphs
The turkey every year on Thanksgiving - I always get raves about it from my family!
My cooking tragedies
Once I burnt the Christmas ham - but only the outside!!!

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie
This recipe was okay. I wound up having to tweak it just a little to get it to taste sweet enough for my kids. I had to add 1 1/2 bananas and I didn't even count how many berries I put in. I added all of the sugar and it made it sweet, but not the "right" kind of sweet I was looking for, if that makes any sense.

Sweet Potato Casserole II
I thought this was pretty good, as far as sweet potato casseroles go. Next time I will add nuts like I do with other recipes. I also used canned sweet potatoes instead of fresh and thought it was pretty good.

Chicken Enchiladas II
I made the recipe exactly as is, and it turned out pretty good. If I decide to make these again, I will make some changes - like adding salt and pepper to the soup/sour cream mixture, and using corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas. I would also bake for 25 minutes, THEN put the cheese on top and bake for 10 more minutes.
