Festive Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This fudge had a good taste and a great texture. It was not quite as good as a traditional cooked fudge, however, the ease in which it took to prepare, made it so worth it. The only thing I can say bad about the texture, is after a couple of days (even being in a covered container) it started to dry out pretty fast. Only prepare what you are going to eat in a short period of time. Other than that, this was a great treat, and it made great gifts with the other candies we (my oldest Daughter Bonnie and her friend Jonie) made for the Christmas Holidays.

Beat and Bake Orange Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This was a great cake recipe. A very moist cake. The only thing that I did different was to use orange, tangerine, and lemon zest in both the cake and the icing. (I like a strong citrus flavor). In the past I have not had good results with your basic cake recipe (they have been a little dry), so I added 1/4 cup of sour cream and a pkg. of lemon jelatin to the cake batter. This definitely made it a moist cake. My husband liked it also and he is not a sweets fan. He really liked the citrus flavor. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. It was great! Wilma

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving this year. They were excellent! Most everyone liked them. I especially liked the tart flavor combined with the sweet. The only thing that I did different from the recipe was to leave out the ginger (as I do not care for it). Also, it was very easy to make. Will definitely make again!

Chicken and Portobello Rollups

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
This is a recipe with great potential. I did use pepper (and the salt) on the chicken as well as in the sauce. We did like this recipe a lot, as we love asparagus and mushrooms. I served it over white rice. But , the next that I make it I will brown the chicken in a little olive oil and add some worcestshire or other spices to the sauce for a little more flavor. Otherwise, a great recipe. Thanks for the idea!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
I am new to All Recipes and this the first recipe that I tried. Awesome! My husband and I really liked this soup recipe. The only thing that I did different was to use heavy cream in place of the milk and it needed a little more salt and pepper. We served it with a toasted ham and Swiss cheese sandwich on a crusty thick sliced European style bread. Again, it was great! Thank You for the recipe!
