Made these and thought it was one of my crowning culinary accomplishments. It took quite a bit longer than I guessed and a lot more japelenos than I thought, (had to go back to the store) I had more cheese mixture than anything, so I hope it helps someone if I say make sure you have plenty of bread crumbs, flour, milk and peppers. But I was glad I made them, because now I have a freezer with many delicious appetizers ready for guests and/or my boyfriend who loved them. Left some seeds in and used pepper jack with cheddar and cream cheese because we like them good and hot.
P.S. I wanted to add to this review, there are about three things that I neglected to say, first I used Turkey bacon in place of pork and I've not yet tasted bacon in these poppers so it doesn't add to the recipe to do that. Next when I said I left some seeds in, this made them Very Hot, it's great. Lastly, it would probably work better to boil the pepper a little first, like some reviewers have suggested because although they're good aldente, the breading separates when you bite them. I would think it would work better to have them softer.
