I'm a SAHM to an 19 year old son (in college),a 6 year old daughter, and a 4 year old daughter. My husband is active duty Army and we have been married almost 20 years. Home is where the army sends us :)Currently, home is in Ingelheim, germany - right on the bank of the Rhein River! Loving the food, culture, and sending my kids to German schools! I can't believe I just passed my 11 year anniversary of being a member of Allrecipes!

Probably making candy with my mil before Christmas. Our friends, family, and husbands co workers all start asking in November when the candy will be made!

My dad just showed me last weekend how to make fasnachts ( a German doughnut made on Shrove Tuesday)
My cooking tragedies
When I first got married (almost 20 years ago)someone gave me a slow cooker. I knew nothing about cooking and tried to make boxed macoroni and cheese in the slow cooker. It was ugly!

Doc's Best Beef Jerky
We just found out our daughter has celiac disease and almost all commercial jerky uses soy sauce with wheat. So we bought a dehydrator and have used this recipe 3 times in three weeks. I cut out the salt totally (there is enough in soy sauce) and cut waaaaaaaay down on the liquid smoke. Awesome recipe! We have at least double the recipe every time with no issue!

Tiramisu II
Great recipe! The balance of the flavor of ingredients is perfect. I did double the amount of espresso and used Borghetti Italian coffee liquor in place of the rum. We live in Germany and have an awesome Italian supermarket close to us so all of the ingredients were very readily available. Definitely use the hard ladyfingers...They don't even make the soft variety in Italy. You will not get crunchy ladyfingers as long as you let the tiramisu "marinate " for at least 24 hours. Thanks so much for this DEVINE recipe!

Kofta Kebabs
These are soooo good! I added some chopped mint and doubled the recipe using half hamburger and half lamb. What is the DEAL with the servings on the recipe? 28 skewers? With a double batch we only had 7 skewers. Definitely one of our favorite recipes. Everyone loves it!
