Glenn's Marinated Pork Shoulder

Sauce has a great spicy sweet flavor. I didn't have apple juice, so I used a little more honey to make up for the sweetness. I also didn't have regular vinegar...I had apple cider vinegar instead. Since I was going to be using it in a slow cooker and not grilled, I felt the sauce was too thin, so I added tomato paste. I used the sauce with chicken thighs, but I'm definitely going to try it on pork next time!

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

Great inspiration me thinking of how to use orzo. Sauteed the garlic and red pepper, added chicken and fresh sliced mushrooms (added some butter to the EVOO for the mushrooms...I like the flavor better). Once mushrooms were soft and chicken was cooked, I added the orzo to the skillet along with a little more red pepper flakes. Cooked about 5 min. Served with parmesan cheese. Amazing! Thanks for the inspiration :)

Beef Stroganoff II

Great recipe, but definitely needed more liquid to balance out the meat. I hate onion, so I added sliced mushrooms. After adding the soup, I added some white wine. I didn't have sour cream, so I used some heavy cream instead.

Fresh Ginger Cookies

Made these many times and they've been great. Has anyone had problems using Splenda though? I made a batch this time, using Nature Something...a Splenda knockoff...and they didn't flatten out (they "cracked", but they were still balls) and they tasted chalky (flavor was right, but they were dry and chalky).
