About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Breads and desserts! I love to make anything that will make the house smell yummy for hours!
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner! To take over the 'reigns' of the family holiday meal was quite an honor.
My cooking tragedies
There are truly too many to name, but two top the list. A taco casserole (which was my signature dish for years)...I dumbly put in 3 tablespoons of garlic salt instead of 3 teaspoons (oops!) Then I had a fried chicken picnic disaster as the chicken wasn't cooked all the way...ruined the whole picnic!

Baked Pork Chops I
I took others advice and also used Golden Mushroom and more wine. Also cut down the baking time. Turned out VERY TASTY! Getting this nice and browned first is key! Will make this again and again!

I love these cookies!!! I used to buy the cheap version of these at the store, had no idea how easy they would be to make. These will become a staple in my cookie repertoire. I did like others suggested and added 1 tsp of vanilla...either way, great, easy cookie.

Asian Inspired Grilled Asparagus
I really enjoyed this recipe, although was a little salty the first time I made it. Cut back the soy just a little after that. I do everything like instructed, and have even sprinkled with sesame seeds and do a quick seer to warm when it comes time to serve. Get's all kinds of people to eat something they didn't think they liked! Thanks for sharing.

Pile it into a tomato half, load it into a wrap, or spread it on bread. Chicken salad does it all.
