Cranberry and Cilantro Quinoa Salad

This was my first time cooking with quinoa. The salad was ok. The red onion was over powering for me. I might try a sweet onion. I also drizzled some olive oil and flavored balsamic vinegar over my salad. The salad was dry to me. I will probably not make this recipe again but if I was entertaining vegetarians, I probably would make it for them.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Yes, my husband and I liked this recipe very much. It was very easy to make. I don't think I will add as much broth next time and I could only fit less than 2# of cabbage in my 9 x 13 dish. I used about 1/2 of a large cabbage. I used Minute instant brown rice. An Octoberfest beer and some crusty bread were a perfect accompaniment.

Hoisin Pork Stir Fry

Very very spicy and I only used 1/2 cayenne pepper. I love hoisin but I think there is just too much of it in this recipe. I added snap peas since they were in season. I will not make this recipe again.

Savory Tater Tot Casserole

Easy! My husband loved. We used 2 cans of french green beans, 1 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup and 1# venison. We cooked venison and 1/2 cup chopped onion first and then I layered the green beans, added soup and topped off with tater tots. Oh, I also added worcestershire sauce to dish.

Matt, Mike and i liked it very much It called for 2 cups white sugar. I put in 1 cup white and 1 cup brown sugar Good in am and pm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Farfalle with Asparagus and Smoked Salmon

Fast and Easy!!! I added one can (6oz) Dave's King Salmon. I also added pear tomatoes. I didn't have pistachios on hand and I don't think it would add that much. Basil is unnecessary too. A very nutricious meal.

I used 1 pound of small red potatoes and I could have used 1 1/2 pounds for the amount of oil. Also, the olive oil was too strong a taste and I used olive oil meant for salads. I won't make it again.
