We love this recipe, it is simple and quick. It is also husband and 3 year old approved. I do use chix broth instead of water, but I do that in most recipes. As for adding veggies, I have done it two ways, one where I cooked veggies seperate and just mixed in before serving and once where I added them at the end when I added the biscuits. Either way worked fine for me. Also good without veggies at all.
Trick: When placing biscuit dough in slow cooker, pull it into smaller pieces and then do a stir to stir it into the mixture. Some people are complaining about the biscuits being done and I never had this problem and I think it is because I did mix them in and they didn't just sit on top.
We have this about once a month during the winter.
