MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2015
My daughter picked this recipe to make for her brother's birthday ALL BY HERSELF (she's 11). It was easy and we had most of the ingredients. So I let her make them and only helped a little. They are super easy and they are homemade. No icky chemicals to ruin them. There was a lot of stirring involved and I needed to cook them the full 30 mins. But, other than them not really cutting well because they are cake-like, they turned out great! Very fudgy and you can press the crumbs together to make a whole other piece! We will definitely save this recipe and maybe play with it to come up with different flavor combos. Thank you for posting this. It was definitely what we were looking for.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
So easy and so yummy! I mixed it up pretty much like the recipe said (although I never really measure spices). It came out so perfectly flaky and cheesy. Thank you for posting this recipe.

Quick Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2012
Very good base recipe for this sauce. I usually make a shrimp and noodle dish with seasoning that mimics shrimp scampi. This time I thickened it up by using this sauce recipe. Butter/flour/garlic salt/half+half and some shred Italian blend cheese. Added pepper and Table Blend Mrs Dash and it was amazing!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I used this as a starting point to learning how to make a great roast. The first time I followed the recipe. The 2nd time I tweaked it after reading the reviews. NOW, I have created a masterpiece. This is how I do it:Make sure you use a Chuck roast first of all. Then, brown the meat with salt, pepper, garlic/onion as desired. Then, place in slow cooker. Deglaze the pan with a little beef broth and then add it and addtional can to slow cooker (total 2 cans of beef broth). Pour 1 envelope of dry onion soup mix on top, and 1 tBLsp of Worceshire sauce on top of the meat. Cook on low for 8hrs. After 6 hrs. add quartered red potatoes and carrots to the slow cooker. When done it will be falling apart so remove from slow cooker carefully. Make gravy by using broth and flour/cornstarch/water mixture and heating to just boiling in separate saucepan stirring constantly till desired thickness is acheived. Yum!

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
This recipe is SOOOOO easy! However, I should have read more of the previous reviews. As many have stated, it came out custard-like similar to a quiche. I did follow the recipe, did not stir it, and cooked it for about 4 1/2 hrs on low. I think the next time I make it I will "tweak" it by deleting the eggs, and adding some additonal spices. It was bland and my children didn't care for it. If it turns out okay I will repost with the modifications I made.

Chili II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I gave this 4 stars since I tweaked it some and it wasn't the original recipe. We like a thicker chili and not TOO spicy because of the kids. Here's what I did: 1 lb. ground beef 1 can dark kidney beans (undrained) 1 can MANWICH sauce 1 pkg chili seasoning mix Salt; pepper; garlic powder; minced onion Brown the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and minced onion to taste. Layer kidney beans, ground beef, chili seasoning, and MANWICH sauce in crockpot. Give it a stir to blend all ingredients and set on LOW for about 5 hrs. (Just long enough for flavors to blend and heat through). I served it with Pillsbury Garlic Butter flavor rolls. Even my kids thought it was good and not TOO spicy!!
