Cheeseburger Buns

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
I love this recipe. So versatile! I did the dough in my bread machine, sprinkle in more flour if it seems too wet. Here was my filling, which was a huge hit with the guys: I did a regular one-pound recipe of taco meat. I added in a can of well-drained diced tomatoes. That was my filling along with chunks of cheddar cheese and a dabble of Ortega taco sauce inside each bun. Turned out perfectly, soft bread and tasty filling.

Cinnamon Pear Frozen Yogurt

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2004
I really love this recipe! I did leave out the allspice and only used the cinnamon. It is so smooth and refreshing. It's flavor is very different, yet very pleasing!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2003
This is a great sauce. I really enjoy the combination of sweet and hot. I make this sauce, then pair it with the Deep Dish Pizza Dough recipe, spread out on a large cookie sheet. Very good recipe that I will continue to make over and over.

Wonderful Yogurt Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2003
This is a good recipe. I used cherry yogurt(Dannon blend), though it is a very subtle flavor within the cake. Brown throughout (which I expected w/ the brown sugar) and not very pretty as cakes go. I did mix up some milk, vanilla and powdered sugar to drizzle over the top. Next time I may try to find a stronger flavored yogurt to use. Very enjoyable. I may make again to use for my daughter's first birthday cake, as she really enjoyed this first one I made!

Hot Dog Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2002
These are adorable cookies! I had a blast making them with my 6 and 3 year olds last night. Very fun and tasty too! I may try to make the dough a bit sweeter w/ some more powdered sugar next time. The cookies just melt in your mouth. This will be on my list to make the next time I get called for cookies for the school. Would likely have to dbl. the recipe for that though. Thumbs up!!

Chicken Valdostano

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2002
My husband and children really enjoyed this dish. It was SO tasty and reminded me of something we would have been served in a restaurant. The sauce is very flavorful and it really strengthens the flavor the longer you reduce it. Did use fontina cheese, but not the prosciutto, just used sliced smoked ham. I did have to add some cooking time to the chicken, I added the chicken back in while reducing the sauce. Very tender.

Banana Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2002
This is indeed a great cake. After trying the recipe as is, I then made another cake with butterscotch instant pudding and substituted 3/4 c of shredded zucchini for the 3/4 c mashed banana. It too was wonderful and tasty.

Teriyaki Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2002
A wonderful marinade! It does taste just like what I've had in restaurants. First time I made it, I didn't have pineapple juice so I subbed with a mixture of orange juice and apple juice. This time I will grill the chicken w/ pineapple slices, and use foil on the grill.

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2002
Gosh was this great! I could not find fresh basil, so used dried instead. The croutons are wonderful, the cubed bread really shrunk upon toasting in the pan. I am glad because after cubing the bread it seemed like ALOT. I will make this again. We had it as a main dish!

Chicken Cashew Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2001
Love this recipe. Second time I made it, I toasted the cashews in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes so they would stay crunchy in the salad.
