Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
I didn't know what to think after reading the reviews but I thought I'd try this anyway. I love peanut butter so I said "what the heck" and put the whole package in and it didn't have any effect on the outcome of the fudge. It did give it more of a peanuty flavor and that was what I was going for. I stirred the package in while still on the burner because I didn't want chips in the fudge. I did take it off the burner and completed the stirring. It ended up with swirls of peanut butter. All in all it turned out very good. I will make this again.

Remarkable Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
This is the best melt in your mouth fudge I've had in a long time! Very easy to make too! I didn't have a candy thermometer or a double boiler as the recipe calls for. I boiled the butter and sugar and evap. milk for 12 minutes, then added the rest of the ingredients. It set up perfectly! Thank you so much for this yummy recipe! I'll be making this again and again!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This was a very tasty stew recipe. I made a few changes however. I dredged the beef in flour seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and cumin. I used 3 cans of low sodium beef broth in place of the water. Even after making these changes my husband thought it was a little bland, so we added some salt which seemed to help quite a bit. The beef was very tender and flavorful. I would probably make this again.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
This receipe is very tasty! I made a few changes like some of the other reviewers did. I used two cans of crm of mushroom soup, cut the amt. of potatoes to 2 1/2 lbs and added more ham than what was called for. The sauce is very good and plenty of it. Next time I make it I think I will cut the potatoes in chunks rather than quarter them. I didn't cook them first, just threw everything all together and it turned out perfect. Also, instead of using green onions, I think using a red or white onion would give it a little more flavor. This is definately a keeper. The whole family loved it!

Sausage Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
This was a very tasty recipe. I used italian pork sausage since I didn't have regular sausage and it gave the dish a different "kick". I also saute'd the onions with the meat as did other reviewers which I think added more flavor. I doubled the recipe so we could have it for our lunches at work. My family really enjoyed this dish.

Clam Chowder II

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was the best clam chowder recipe I have ever tasted!! We live on the West Coast and have had many variations of chowder but even my husband said this one is the best! I only changed the recipe just a bit by adding bacon, but other than that it was perfect just the way it was written. Thanks!
