Crunchy Chicken Casserole

This was just "ok". It served the purpose of a hot meal for the family using leftover roasted chicken, but it was lacking in flavor and texture. Possibly some Velveeta cheese to the mix would have helped.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

I made the recipe exactly as given. It was very good. I froze the leftover stuffed peppers in individual containers for lunches. The next time I make it, I will add a little touch of corn and black beans.

Bierrocks II

My family loves these. We call them "groutburo". A German grandma from our church gave us the recipe for these. We add chili powder or Tex-Mex seasonings to the meat and cabbage. We place grated cheese on top, just before closing up the bread dough. When they have cooked, we add more grated cheese to the top and serve them with taco sauce. Hey, we are from Texas! These are soooo good.

Daddy's Molded Salad

Very good! It was so good I even ate it for breakfast. Instead of using a jello mold, I put salad in an 8 x 8 pan, cut it in squares and served on a lettuce leaf. My family really enjoyed it.

Baked Ziti With Italian Sausage

Oh, we ate too much!!! This was really good. When I went to the store to buy the contents, I noticed that the marinara sauce recommended in this recipe cost exactly twice as much as the Store brand that is in jars. Instead of buying two 15 oz. containers of the recommended brand, I bought only one....then I bought 1 jar of the store-brand marinara sauce in a jar. There was VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE in taste between the two----so I recommend buying a less expensive brand. I also marbeled the cheese throughout the recipe before baking it.....soooo good!
