Holiday Cranberry Chutney

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
This one is simple and fast to make, but it looks and tastes like you spent lots of time on it. Really dresses up a holiday table. My husband and his brother are hooked on it. It also goes great with venison.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I have made this several times now, and my husband says it is "hands down" the best cornbread he has ever had. I bake it in a preheated cast iron skillet for 25 minutes, and add canned corn, as another member suggested. I also use 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour.

Garlicky Baked Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
We loved this, really easy and simple but looks and tastes great. I used thyme instead of parsley (I'm allergic). I baked for 45 minutes and it came out wonderful. Thanks for a quick and easy dish.

Cherry Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This is so easy, and everyone loves it. I used to spend a few hours making a real - meaning you have to put it in the oven and cook it - cheesecake, but my husband likes this better. Great for summer as no baking involved.

Awesome Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I love this, takes only about 20 to make. I substitute red pepper for the green as I prefer the taste, otherwise follow the directions exactly.

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
I made these last year and they were a hit. This year I am making the white chocolate mice with red eyes and red licorice tails. 2 things I picked up from other comments, make sure you put the eyes on the sides of the bodies, not the front, much more realistic. And if you make Tootsie roll tails, don't make them in advance, they will melt down to nothing. Thanks for the recipe!

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I have made these several years in a row. We full a cookie press with the dough and press it out into long rolls, cut into shorter sections and shape into fingers. We use a knife to make little slices in the "knuckels". We use sliced blanched almonds for the nails. They look very realistic and taste great. Lots of fun to make.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
I have made this several times now and love this recipe. I add 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and use 1/2 whole wheat for more body, plus 1/2 brown sugar for more flavor.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Great salad and easy to make. I usually buy broccoli salad at an expensive upscale supermarket. This was better! Next time I will add less sugar as this was a little too sweet. Thanks for a great recipe!

Sean's Mommy's Roasted Root Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
A little bland. I divided into 2 casserole dishes and ended up adding some red wine to the second which did help. Would definitely add something to this, such as onions and garlic as suggested by another reviewer.
