Curried Wild Rice and Squash Soup

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
I just made a slightly altered version of this to suit some ingredients I wanted to use up. I added a can of navy beans, a few handfuls of fresh spinach, and a chopped jalapeno, and I substituted the chicken stock with Knorr veggie bouillon. I also used short-grain brown rice because I didn't have wild rice. This is a very tasty recipe.

Fried Tempeh in Batter

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
I left a few ingredients out because I didn't have them on hand, but this was dangerously delicious. I seriously wish I had sweet and sour sauce on hand. Sooo yummy.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
Delicious! My room mate and I just made these tonight. We used chopped nuts of indeterminate origin, cut the sugar by a quarter, and added a quarter cup of chocolate chips. They seemed slightly dry but still wonderful. We both had to fight the urge to just eat the batter.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
This recipe WINS. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that I've never made other truffles and can't compare. I had never made candy, but my girlfriend and I were able to do this easily. Then this week I used the recipe again and was able to pull it off decently myself. (I recommend having help, though). So far I've made plain ones, rum-flavored, and mint. Whenever I give these to people and tell them that I made them, they're AMAZED.
