Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
Anytime I bring these anywhere, multiple people ask for the recipe. That about sums it up!

Fruit and Nut Muffins

Sooo good! Very moist! I used 1/2 brown and 1/2 white sugar and I shredded the apples using my food processor- turned out great!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
YU-MMY! This was really good. One of the better crumble crusts that I've made. I didn't have fresh berries, so I had to use frozen berries, which tend to have a lot more juice. So I sprinkled a little "minute" tapioca in the bottom before I put the berries in and that did the trick wonderfully.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
The taste was great, but the cooking time for the 'dumplings' was waaaaay off. Based on other reviews, I figured they'd take longer so I tried for an hour on high but they still weren't done. I ended up taking the ceramic insert out of the slow cooker base, moved the rack in the oven to the lowest slot, and turned on the broiler. It *barely* did the trick.

No Bake Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
These could not have been more easy to make- seriously, one pot, 10 minutes, and you're done. And they turned out soooo tasty. I made the mistake of giving a little piece to my one year old and he kept running back to the kitchen counter and pointing at them. 2 tips though: Mix in the peanut butter and vanilla in thouroughly before you add the oats, and don't wait at all before dropping them onto the wax paper- it gets harder to do the more they cool.

Cheese Cake Cups

These were so easy to do. People kept saying that I must have put a lot of effort into them- I really didn't! They were delicious.

Apple Pecan Cobbler

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
We went apple picking and I had 30 pounds of apples to use up. I wanted to get a little more creative than just making a bunch of pies. There were so many great reviews for this, I decided to give it a try- I didn't see what was so great. I followed the recipe exactly and I wasn't impressed. The "cake" on top of the apples was too dense, the apples just didn't taste right, etc. I gave it two stars because it was edible, but I feel like it was a waste of my apples. I should have stuck with pies.

Pecan Praline Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
SOOOO yummy! My husband is more of a chocolatey kind of guy, and even HE can't stop eating these. I did not have any cream of tartar, so I just used baking powder and it worked just fine.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
I made this exactly as the recipe states and it was light, fluffy, and delicious! A simple and quick frosting that came out just as I hoped. There was enough to frost 24 cupcakes.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
This was really good! My husband is not a big shrimp person (or dijon mustard either) but he'll eat them if they're prepared just right. Well, this must have been just right because he finished the pan.

Pumpkin Pie Squares

These were excellent!! I didn't change any ingredients, I just made a double batch and put it all in a 9x13 pan and cooked them for about 10 minutes longer.

This was awesome! Made it exactly as stated and it tasted like something that came from a popular asian bistro near our house.

I let the frosting cool in the refrigerator and used this on cupcakes. It got rave reviews!

Cheeseburger Pasta

This was ok. I was neither impressed nor disappointed. I can see how kids would like it because the taste does resemble a cheeseburger.

This was so good on a cool autumn day! Served it with tortilla chips and cheese and next time I will try a dollup of sour cream with it.

Warm Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: May 13, 2009
I thought this was great! Several people commented on how good it was. It was a little salty- I served it with sliced french bread that I lightly toasted so as not to add more salt that would be on the crackers. I also used 2 jars of artichokes because 1 definately wasn't enough.

Sweet Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
These were SO yummy! We could barely stop eating them. When I got them out while I had company, they lasted all of 5 minutes. I did use other's suggestions and used 1/2 cup brown and 1/2 cup white sugar, and instead of 2 tablespoons water I used 1, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla. And every time I stirred them while they were baking (in a 9x13 cake pan) I had to wash the spoon off because I kept licking it :-)

Cherry Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I liked this, but I took it to a party and barely any of it was eaten. I followed the recipe, except it took probably twice the tomatoes than what the recipe stated. This would also be good if you added pasta to make a pasta salad.

Creamy Lemon Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This was very good and easy! Took it to a gathering and every single piece was gone. It reminded me of key lime pie- I would imagine you could probably do this with lime juice too.
