Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Apples and Bacon

this is a great soup and very similar to the way I have made it in the past but instead of putting it in the blender in batches I just puree it in the pot with my braun hand blender.

Caramels I

excellent recipe-I am always nervous about making caramels because they are an exact science-cook them below the exact temp and they are too soft/cook them too long and they are hard candy. I followed recipe exactly and they were perfect!!! thanks sooo much!!they were a big hit at Christmas

I COULDN'T FIND MY MINI MUFFIN PAN SO I USED MINI CUPCAKE WRAPPERS WHICH WORKED GREAT!! ALSO-MY HUSBAND ATE SOME OF MY REESES SO I CUT THEM IN HALF AND PUT THEM IN RIDGED SIDE UP-THEY LOOKED LIKE CROWNS-VERY PRETTY AND DELICIOUS

Cooky Cookies

CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCH A UNIQUE COOKIE! i made these for christmas cookies and they were awesome!! the only thing I did different was drizzle white chocolate on them for looks. I will try them next time with maybe choc chips and/or almonds for a macaroony flavor or maybe peanut butter in place of butter for a different taste but these are great as they are!

I JUST FINISHED MAKING THIS RECIPE FOR MY FAMILY AND I FOLLOWED THE RECIPE EXCEPT THE LAST 10 MIN OF COOKING I SPRINKLED IT WITH CRUCNHY SHOESTRING POTATOS IN A CAN. THE RECIPE IS WONDERFUL!!! CREAMY, RICH SMOOTH ETC-P.S I COOKED THE PASTA ALDENTA.

THIS ONE IS GOING IN THE PERMANENT RECIPE BOX! I THOUGHT GOOD FRIED CHICKEN CRUST MUST BE A SOUTHERN SECRET BUT THIS IS IT! I THINK NEXT I WILL TRY THE BATTER ON DEEP FRIED ZUCCHINI OR GREEN TOMATOES WITH CREAM OF CELERY SOUP INSTEAD OF THE CHICKEN AS A VARIATION!!!

THESE ARE AWESOME!! IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WITH THEM GETTING HARD IN FRIDGE JUST TOSS IT IN THE FREEZER OR ADD MORE POWDERED SUGAR-THE BUTTER WILL HARDEN EVENTUALLY-I ADDED 1/4 CUP COCOA AND ROLLED IN SLIVERED ALMONDS FOR A DIFFERENT VARIATION ALSO I USED GRANDMAS COCONUT COOKIES TO DIP WITH
