Lemon Cream Puffs

Wonderful! We just made this recipie, and it was easy and perfect. We increased the lemon by 1 tbsp for a bit more of a lemony bite - otherwise, so very perfect! Don't discard the soft center of the puffs! Eat them sprinkled with powdered sugar while you wait for the custard to firm up. (husband thinks this is gross, i think it's tasty!)

Dark Chocolate Cake I

This was a superb cake. It was firm enough to cover with fondant, and moist enough that the raves kept coming. excellent recipie. My suggestion - this cake, cherry filling, and white chocolate butter cream frosting (marshmallow fondant if you're adventurous!) - both frostings flavored with almond extract with bring out the cherry in the filling. - I used this cake once more recently, this time - I added a bag of semi-sweet mini chocolate chips! MMM!!!

Beef Wellington

This was FABULOUS. I have never had, nor made Beef Wellington before - but what I made tonight turned out stunning and there were raves all around. I used Sirloin instead of fillet minion - for budgetary concerns - I also took the advice of post reviewer and used a home made pesto instead of the pate. One more thing - we cut the meat into individual serving sizes before wrapping them up into their won pastries - and it turned out superb. i would and will totally make this again.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

I just made this tonight - the first time ever making any sort of soup, actually. it turned out *awesome* there are no words more that that to describe how good this was, everyone raved - and even took some of the leftovers home with them. i *will* be making this again for mysel f- it was easy and so very tasty.

Banana Oat Bars

Ok, so I just made these, twice - with different alterations to the original recipe each time. First alteration - weird. Second - awesome. [p] First attempt: I used..*half white half brown sugar 1 full egg, 1 egg white cranberries instead of raisins canned mandarin oranges (drained) and mushed, but still left lumpy - instead of bananas a sprinkling of nutmeg also made in a muffin tin. cooked for about 20 minutes at 350 texture this time is different, likely because of the wetness of the oranges. (a little heavier) and a little chewier. They are really really good! Next time - I think I'll make a crushed nut/sugar topping to sprinkle over them halfway thought baking. they don't need it, but t sounds tasty. **note be careful baking, they are so moist and sugary that the line between done and burt is very fine.
