I am an aspiring chef, i can follow any recipe and modify it to make it better ^^ I have 2 years of experience doing all tasks in a restaurant, part time, through school (Sea-Tac OSC in Burien) I am moving to las vegas soon, and i hope to further my culinary career
My favorite things to cook
Italian foods (especially pasta(s) with homemade sauces), grilled salmon (citrus salmon with herbs grilled on a cedar plank)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always loved my grandmother thanksgiving dinners, usually complete with stuffing and giblets, homemade gravy, a beautiful turkey, sometimes lamb and mint jelly i also love sun tea and homemade sweet pickles (not so much the pickles as the pickled onions !)
My cooking triumphs
I can grill a MEAN citrus and herb salmon, and the taste just makes you want to die !!
My cooking tragedies
i cut my finger tip almost all the way off cutting veggies on night, that was the worst other than that, i once slammed a chefs knife into a cutting block, being an idiot, and cut my hand a little on the corner of the knife, ill never do that again

Boston Baked Beans
this is an amazing recipe, let me start by saying 2 cups of dry beans yeilds like 6 cups i used pancake syrup instead of molasses and also used dark brown suger (higher molasses content and a deeper flavor), I changed the servings from 6 to 24 and did a big batch, using 2 onions and 1 pack of bacon the first time I made this I used 6 cans of beans on a 3x sized recipe, and I used great north, navy, and kidney beans, which made for a nice contrast of textures, the canned bean water also works well I have a 2nd batch in the oven now using only great northern beans bought dry and soaked overnight (10 hours), this is the 24-serving batch and will go nicely with the brisket in my grill

Easy Shrimp Dip
This is very simple and very tasty, but its better to let the cream cheese sit for a while and warm up just a bit, it makes it easier to dip with crackers

Fry Bread Tacos II
i too only made the frybread portion This is always a favorite treat of mine, that i usually only get around the 4th (get some fireworks, and frybread! every year) i made this and, after i got done smoking out my house with overheated oil, it made GREAT frybread I added a TBSP of sugar to this as i topped them with butter and jam, sooo good, and so filling (1/3 of the frybread could make a good breakfast)
