My mother-in-law’s family has a lovely cottage on the Mill River
in Prince Edward Island .
We try to get there as much as we can during the summer months to enjoy the scenery, family, golf and, of course, great food!

I dont know about you but, when my family gets together it can get a bit hectic!
Sometimes Im happy to be the one cooking because it means I can sneak into the kitchen whenever I need a breather...
The only time we are all quiet at once it when our mouths are full of good food!

I haven’t eaten anything that walks on land for almost 6 months. Honestly, I’m not sure how long it has been because I didn’t know how serious I was
when I made the big change. If I knew, I probably would have marked it on a calendar…and I probably would have flew to Montreal to have one

On Saturday afternoon, my brother in law called and invited us over for dinner.
I dont like to show up empty handed so I chopped up some tomatoes,garlic, fresh basil...added some EVOO and a splash of balsamic reduction....and a pinch of salt and pepper.
