This is a great base recipe! I added some chicken granules to take the edge off of the wine flavor. I added about 1/2 teaspoon. Also added about a 1/2 cup of fresh parm and Ramano. Added garlic to my taste and it turned out delicious. I poured it over baked chicken stuffed with spinach and cottage cheese.

Keep an eye on your cooking time. If you prefer a soupier bean, you may want to take it out around 2.5 hours. I took mine out around 4 hours and it was very thick. I can't imagine leaving it in there for 5. Still great flavor but I would have liked it a bit saucier. But despite that, Yumm! These are so delicious. They smell so amazing that its hard to stop sticking my spoon in there! We make this for a meal some times as well as taking it to potlucks.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip

This is a good starting point, but it needs a little help. I omit the Monterey Jack cheese and use one block of cream cheese instead. It gives the creaminess that the dip needs. I also add 2 garlic cloves. When it comes out of the oven, I salt to my taste and then add an additional sprinkle of parmasean.

I was not impressed with this recipe as is. Maybe if it was tweaked a bit it could be tasty. I found it a bit dry and salty.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This had a great flavor. I would really recommend at least doubling this recipe! Eight servings was enough for my family of two but it didn't leave us much left-over. For all the chopping involved you are going to want left-overs!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

WOW! This was soooo yummy! The wine sauce is so creamy and amazing! I was dipping my bread in it afterward. I know people suggest changes but I really think this recipe was perfect. I have to disagree with anyone who substituted out the wine because I think it makes the recipe.

Braised Beef Short Ribs

This was pretty good. I had to switch things up a bit. The grocery store I went to had a small selection of ribs so I was unable to get short ribs. Instead I used boneless country style. I substituted green peppers for onions because my husband refuses to eat onions. You really have to add A LOT more water as you go! The meat came out nice and tender. But it doesn't look at all like the picture shown. The gravy comes out more red then brown due to the tomatoes.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

YUMMM! These are delicious! They are also the best looking cookies I have ever made, I will be bringing them to work parties from now on. I'm shocked that some people don't like these! I also followed the advice of others and added 2TBL of vanilla, 1/2 Tsp of salt and 2 tsp baking powder. Also to let a few of you know, you do not prepare the pudding, you only add the mix to the recipe.

Pumpkin Casserole

Not exactly the taste I thought it was going to be. I think some of the comments stating it was a good substitute for pumpkin pie gave me the wrong idea. It smelled sooo delicious but came out really mushy.
