Oh So Tender Brisket

My family thought this was one of the best meals! I added 2 TBSP of brown sugar to the onion soup mix. Added 1 can of cream of onion soup directly on top of the brisket and topped with cut red potatoes and onions! In 6 hours we had dinner ready! AMAZING!

Shepherd's Pie VI

We love shepherds pie and the addition of the mashed carrots as a layer was wonderful! I did have a hard time mashing the carrots and I had them boiling for 30 minutes! We also like the meat to have a good gracy so I added a jar of fat free Heinz beef gravy. I also added corn and peas in the the meat as I like to get in as many vegetables as I can Overall this was great and I will make again. I just have to figure out how to boil carrots right!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

WOW! I was so impressed with how easy these were to make and how wonderful they came out. My husband HATES mayo and I was worried he would pick up the taste but he thought they were fantastic too! Don't change a thing! This one is a sure keeper!

Puerto Rican Pork Roast

This is a fantastic meal! Whenever I ask my husband what he would like for dinner...this is in his top 5 for sure! I am very liberal with the garlic and spices. I always add just a touch of hot pepper sauce! Highly recommended! I like to serve this with a roasted potatoes and carrots!

Pasta With Spinach Sauce

First, if you are not a spinach fan don't make this, that has to be why anyone would give it a low star rating. It is AWESOME!!! I didn't use any meat in it. I used a canned spinach (its what I had) and instead of sour cream I used evaporated milk. I also used fat free cream of celery soup. I think this is such a great dish. Don't limit it to pasta. I served it as a side dish to my two girls (2&4) and they loved it! It tasted alot like the cream spinach they serve at Boston Market - one of my favorite things there! This would also be great on top of a chicken breast! Thank you so much for this recipe! A definate keeper!!!

Kielbasa and Cabbage II

Fantastic! My husband and I loved this! I did use real butter instead of the oil for more flavor, only about 1 TBSP. I also used fresh chopped garlic and cooked it with my onion for a bit prior to adding the cabbage. I think it gave the cabbage a bit more flavor. I also only used a touch of cajun spice. If you are a "hunky" like me, try serving it over potato and cheese pierogies! This is a definate keeper!

Italian Sausage and Zucchini

WONDERFUL MEAL! I added red, yellow and orange peppers and did use marinara over the diced tomatoes. I also did it ahead of time and fried everything individually (my personal preference) I then put it in a 9 by 11 and baked it later for 30 minutes at 300. This is a definate keeper. Even my two year old loved it. Except for the sausage it is all veggies - so good for her too! Thanks so much!

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

AWESOME! Exactly what I was looking for! I needed a quick dinner for my 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 year old daughters and this was perfect! They really gobbled it up! I also think if you cut the chicken breasts into strips it would make a great party appetizer!!! I used balslamic vinegrette and the flavor was terrific and my chicken came out wonderfully moist! This is a definate keeper!

Hot Fruit Salad

This is a GREAT potluck recipe to bring somewhere. I took it to my Mom's Club (about 50 moms) and it was a big success. Everyone was asking for the recipe. I am not sure why anyone wouldn't like it. It tastes exactly like a wonderful warm fruit pie without the crust. It is also actually pretty healthy! (Well, there is some sugar due to the canned fruit). The only thing I added was canned pears because I thought it would make a nice addition the other fruits. I really loved this recipe and would make again! I think it would go great over pancakes! If you are looking for a really unique recipe with great flavor try taking this to your next outing!

Guinness® Corned Beef

AMAZING is the only word that describes how good this recipe is! My husband was a bit skeptical because he is not a Guiness fan and he ate about half of the roast! The only suggestion I have (and this has nothing to do with the recipe really) is that I used a very lean cut of corned beef. You don't need the extra fat because the Guiness and slow cooking makes it incredibly moist!! Thanks so much for this recipe! I made it for St Patty's Day but after looking through my recipes I think I am going to make it this weekend!!!

Uncle Bill's Sweet and Sour Sauce

GREAT! I was leary about trying to make my own sauce but I think it came out wonderfully! Thank you also for the tip of making the corn starch paste first, make the sauce come out very smooth with zero lumps! I can't wait to make this for my next party!

Here are my subs...still outstanding. 1/4 cup Italian seasongingfresh parsley 1/8 cup and 1 tablespoons olive oil 2 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar 2 teaspoons ground curry powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 ½ tablespoons minced garlic 1 tablespoon pepper sauce, such as Franks® Red Hot® or Tabasco™ 1 teaspoon chili powder

Crab Rangoon I

This was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made them for a Chinese New Year's party -- and they were a HIT! I don't think they were too salty at all. I did make a few changes though. I used green onion instead of cilantro. I used ground ginger instead of fresh. I also added garlic powder because I love garlic. And I used Louis Kemp instead of fresh crab meat. Also, I made these the night before and kept them refridgerated till I was ready to fry them...that worked out very nicely!!! If you like Crab Rangoon..I think you will LOVE this recipe!

Bourbon Chicken

WOW!! At first I was VERY worried because even though I like bourbon -- the original scent was very strong! But it came out PERFECT! It is my husbands new favorite meal (he's pretty picky) - he has been telling everyone about it! I did the suggestion of taking the sauce and adding corn starch for a gravy (yummy!) I then put the chicken over rice with brocolli with the gravy! Fantastic meal! Worth trying it out!

Fruity Tuna Salad

This is such a fantastic lunch!! I love curry and have been looking for some easy recipes! I have found it!! I added grapes, red peppers and crushed almonds in mine....served with Pita bread! I will make this quite often. Light and refreshing! I can't believe their is no mayonaise in this. It tastes better than regular tuna salad! Thanks Sara!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Great crockpot recipe!! I made a few minor changes that I suggest....I boiled my cabbage first. I've found it's always best to do that. I also added a can of diced tomatoes and used spaghetti sauce instead of tomatoe sauce. I also cooked my beef with a packet of onion soup mix and 1 tbsp of minced garlic! My mother still makes the BEST real Houlupkie (Stuffed Cabbage) but as a busy career woman -- this recipe works very well!!

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

This really reminds me of the Macaroni and Cheese my mom use to make from scratch!! I was very pleased with how it came out. My husband, who has really only had Kraft Mac & Cheese, couldn't believe how good homemade could be! Thanks for sharing this with us! I would definately make this again!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

My husband went CRAZY for this! I used the Pick of the Chicken pack, so I had breasts, wings and legs. I didn't have enough honey -- but it still came out perfect. It got a nice glaze and the skin was crispy and delicious!! I would cut back on the oil next time if I used the skinned chicken, was a bit too much grease but DELICIOUS! Do yourself a favor - get the ingredients and try this one out!!!!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

This is FANTASTIC!! The minor changes I made was to use a can of French Onion Soup instead of beef broth. I make slits in my roast and added about 6 cloves of garlic. I also added tons of red and green pepper and onions in the crock pot. (I love vegetables). The other thing I tried is when I pulled the beef out to shred I added 2 cups of cornstarch in the juice to make more of a gravy! My husband went crazy! He loved it!!! This would be great for a get-together. It makes quite a bit and people would love it!!
