Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
So delicious!!! I doubled these, following the recipe except reduced the honey to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup of molasses. Perfectly sweet and so tender. I've finally made muffins like I've always wanted to make! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Fajitas Primavera

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
We loved these! My husband, myself, 5 kiddos and a guest. I used fresh and frozen vegetables instead of canned but followed the recipe and they were a hit!

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This is the best thing I have put in my mouth in I don't know how long! I made them for dinner and I'm not sure there will be any left to serve. I used soba noodles because I had some in my pantry but I will be making these soon with some whole wheat linguini. These noodles will be in my fridge all summer!!!! Thank you so much scoopnana!

Slow Cooker Homemade Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
My husband said these were in the top ten of all the things I cook! All our kids had seconds too. I substituted ham for the bacon since we didn't have any. They were a little soupy so next time I won't add any water when I stir in the sauce ingredients. This is something we will make often, as a side dish in the summer and a meal in the fall and winter. If you have trouble with the beans not getting tender, the problem is old beans not cooking time. I never soak any beans and we eat them in some form or another at least twice a week. Try to buy your beans from a place with a high turnover, they will be fresher and cook more quickly. Thanks for the great recipe!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
I used this marinade for boneless chicken breasts and it was stellar! I mixed it up in the morning and grilled it for supper and everyone loved it. It is an easy marinade and delicious, we'll be using this recipe for a long time. Thanks!

Bill's Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I love this dressing! Lettuce has become an excuse to eat the dressing! I substituted yogurt for half the mayo and it is still rich and so creamy.

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This was wonderful!!! I cooked it for our Valentines dinner and everyone swooned! My 2 year old who is not much of a beef eater ate more than her big brothers. I did have to cook it a bit longer since we don't care for rare meat but even with a longer roasting time it was tender and delicious. The sauce is all too fabulous, I had to restrain myself from eating it with a spoon!

Firecracker Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I made this without the beef bouillon and we really enjoyed them. The green chilies are a great way to jazz up hamburgers!

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
We loved this! I used a whole chicken and basted it in the sauce as it roasted, halfway through I added some frozen green beans and roasted them in the pan juices. It was perfect with the Oven Brown Rice from this site. Thanks for the great recipe!

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This is great! It is now my favorite lasagna. I added the extra vegetable as suggested by other reviewers and it was perfect, didn't miss the meat at all. Instead of the jarred sauce I used 2 28 ounce cans of crushed tomatoes and seasoned it like my regular pasta sauce. Also, I never cook my noodles first and they always cook perfectly in the oven. Why dirty another pan if you don't need to. I did cover the lasagna with foil, baked 45 minutes, uncovered and baked 15 minutes more to brown up the cheese. Thanks for the wonderful dish, I plan to make it often!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This is the french bread I have been looking for! I make all my family's bread and for years I have been trying to get french bread to have those characteristic uneven holes in it, finally I have done it. As another reviewer suggested, I mixed the dough, waited 15 minutes and then added the salt and finished kneading. The dough was amazingly silky even with part whole wheat flour. One tip to get the beautiful cuts on your loaf is to hold a sharp knife parallel with the countertop and make long slashes lengthwise on the loaf, about 3 should do it. When it bakes the bread will kind of burst out of the slashes just like baguettes from those expensive bakeries. I also tried this dough to make hamburgers buns and they were delicious, soft and chewy. It made 8 nice sized buns. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Green Enchilada Pork Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This had a good flavor but was not chili-ish at all. It was like enchilada sauce with a bit of meat in it. We enjoyed it with chips but it needed something else. Too saucy not enough substance.

Ranger Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
My mom always made these cookies for us growing up and this recipe was just like I remembered them. I didn't have a problem with them being too dry when made as directed, however I left out the coconut but I don't think that would make too much of a difference. I like to add raisins or cocolate chips, nuts are good too.
