Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
This was the BEST broccoli and cheese soup I have EVER eaten! The changes I made were I doubled the broccoli and cheese, I used fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder and I used half & half instead of milk. It was DELICIOUS and it made a lot! If you are a fan of broccoli and cheese soup, you have to try this one.

Country Fried Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
OMG...this is absolutley delicious!!!! The only regret I had was that I only had one large squash because we would have eaten more! It also works great with zucchini. I didn't use the egg or the cornmeal. I just soaked the sliced squash in a bowl of milk and then dipped the slices in flour seasoned with seasoning salt and a little black pepper. I will be making this for many years to come. Also makes a fabulous appetizer for almost any meal!

Easy Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
DELICIOUS! I have always made my roasts in he crock pot but I wanted to try something a little different and it was a huge hit! I followed the recipe EXCEPT I added a can of cream of mushroom soup and I cooked it for 3 hours like some of the reviewers had previously recommended. I am glad I did because after 3 hours it was cooked to medium when I sliced it...perfect. The only thing I will do differently next time is use more potatoes and carrots because they were so yummy! This one is a keeper for our family!

Banana Pudding I

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
I followed this recipe exactly as it is and it turned out delicious! Next time, I will use WHOLE milk instead of 2%. The 2% worked, but took longer to thicken. This recipe is definitely going in my "favorites" book!

I loved this recipe and I have also done it with fresh green beans and zucchini...just adjust the cooking time to your personal preference.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
OMG...I don't know what I did wrong but this was a disaster for me! I could only find a 4 lb picnic ham so I cut the cooking time in 1/2 like someone else's review said to do. After 4 hours, it was still only 140 degrees with the meat thermometer which which was about medium rare! I tried to salvage dinner by putting it in the oven covered for a few minutes and it came out overcooked and tough. What a waste of time and money. I was so excited because of the great reviews but I would do a trial run of it first. This was my Christmas dinner...luckily only me and my dad eating it!
