About this Cook
I work for a non profit organization that offers enrichment programs and fun events to foster children around the Phoenix area. We teach cooking classes in foster group homes...I look for recipes that are easy to follow, accessible ingredients and timed to complete in 90 minutes and under!
My favorite things to cook
Our family enjoys stuffed shells, jambalya, enchiladas, and homemade soups. I found the BEST guacamole and carrot cake recipes right here!
My cooking triumphs
I am a wiz when it comes to preparing and serving Thanksgiving dinner.
My cooking tragedies
Since I don't have confidence in baking, my tragedies typically occur when I try a dessert recipe.

Copycat Panera(R) Broccoli Cheddar Soup
I had been craving broccoli cheddar soup and went with this one since it looked easy and had great reviews. I left out the carrots and salt by choice and added 3 chicken bouillon cubes. We all enjoyed it very much and I shall make it again.

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano
I teach this recipe over and over to children who live in foster group homes. I tell them that they are like the ingredients in the soup. The pot comes to life and full flavor when everything is put together! This soup is also a favorite in my own house.
