Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
I thought this was heavenly! I used half and half to cut calories and then had to cornstarch the sauce to thicken it but that was my fault, I should have just followed as written and to hell w/the fat! THis will become a regular in our house.

Blueberry Muffins II

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
I'm giving these muffins 5 stars because they tasted incredible but they were lighter, fluffier muffins as opposed to the denser kind which I usually prefer. but that aside, anyone would love these, they were that good!

Mom's Sweet Potato Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
STOP LookING!! This is the best, very best sweet potato recipe I have ever found!! Made it exactly as it said and wound up with an empty pan! Made me wish I had made lots more. Definitely a fixture at our holiday table from now on and probably thru out the year as a treat! Tks so much.

Mushroom Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I will definitely make this again. It was very tasty. I didn't have the mushrooms but I substituted sweet peppers and it was fine. Cube steaks are a little tough but perhaps w/some tenderizer could be better. Next time.

American Chop Suey II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
I'm giving this 3 stars only because it was just too bland. I not only did it all to the ltr (except for using crush tom instead of tom soup) but I added garlic so you'd think it would at least be as flavorful as the reviewers. I'll try again sometime. It was a disappointment.

Farfalle Special

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
This is a winner!! Definitely try this. I didn't have the right cheese but I subbed gorgonzola and it still was an incredible meal. We all loved it and the next day leftovers kicked a**!! Try it, just try it.

Sharktooth Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I didn't like this. It was very bland. I added more cheese but that made it too rich with the soup. My husband didn't like it either. Sorry.

Amish Yumazuti

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I omitted the celery and added some seasoning salt to the ground beef as well as some milk to the soup and it was delicious!! I also used slightly less noodles, maybe about 10 oz. instead. My family likes alot of cheese so I upped the cheddar and cooked the entire thing for about 35 minutes. That seemed to be plenty. It wasn't dry at all. IT was moist, tasty and just plain a keeper!

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
I'm going to give this 5 stars because it made really great cupcakes - the only thing I changed was adding to 2.5 teaspoons of vanilla instead of the recommended amount and I think as one reviewer suggested, that was a good idea. The only thing I didn't care for was that the white creamcheese part wasn't sweet enough and reminded me too much of cheesecake which I guess is great if you like cheesecake but I don't. Maybe if there was more sugar in the filling part perhaps that would make it less cheesecake like. I don't know but again this was just a personal preference that's why I didn't let it affect my rating. They tasted great and everyone loved them. I myself ate like 4 of them. It's a great recipe.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
I'm going to say I'm confused as to how this recipe got such glowing reviews. It appears to be missing something. I noticed that the majority of ravers changed the recipe by adding onions, paprika, etc. Maybe that was it. I followed the directions exactly and didn't change a thing and it was good but not great. Nothing about it jumps out at you (my husband's words). I might try again with addl ingredients for more flavor because it really needs it.

Saucy Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
I made this and it came out wonderful. If you are a fan of pork chops w/applesauce, it's nice because it fills that need with a little something extra as far as flavor. Will definitely make again. tks for a keeper!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
This was really superb! I have to give it 5 stars. I did modify it a little bit using 2 large eggs as opposed to 4 which just seemed like too much. However, perhaps next time I'll be more daring and use the four but I'll definitely make this again. Thank you for a great recipe!!

Chicken Curry I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
This was pretty darn good. It tasted authentic without using any of the real genuine Indian ingredients one would expect. My family enjoyed it. My only complaint was that following the recipe closely you don't wind up with that much gravy or at least I didn't. Next time I would double everything at least. Tks for a keeper!

Balsamic Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
I think this was great and so did my hubby and my guest. Everyone loved it and wiped their plates clean. I highly recommend it. It was very nice for a change over pasta. I added a jar of mushrooms but it certainly didn't need it!

Chicken and Spaghetti

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I'm giving this only 3 because my husband liked it but I didn't care for it. I found it kind of bitter. I deviated from the recipe only by not including the chiles and the onions but everything else to the letter. It just seemed to be like it needed something else, though what that is, I couldn't tell you.

Creamy Chicken on Linguine

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
Definitely a keeper!! I highly recommend this one. I had to thicken my sauce slightly w/corn starch because I didn't have heavy cream. I had subbed half & half. Still wonderful.

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
I really can't say enough about this site. All the recipes rock!! THis one turned out great. The meat was tender and falling apart. Melt in your mouth kind of good! Allrecipes has turned me into a great cook and that is saying alot because I knew very little when I started!

Italian Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
I have made these 3 times now and they are always wonderful. I can't praise them enough. They disappear and that is the best review anyone can give!! I love them with confectioners sugar glaze and those adorable colored sprinkles. I have a 7 month old son and I can't wait til he is old enough so I can make these for him!

Italian Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
THese were ok. I think they could have been better but perhaps I screwed it up by using the mixer (toughened the dough). Next time I'll just use my hands. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to it.
