Lemon Dijon Wings

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
Overall pretty good recipe, but next time I will cut the salt to half. I also double the marinade recipe and a bit more then half for marinading and the other half for basting so I didn't have to boil the marinade after. Main issue we had with this recipe wasn't the recipes fault...but moreso our bbqs. The marinade kept dripping down and causing insta-flames which in turn burnt the wings. My Mother in law told us a way around is to have half the bbq on the right temperature and the other side off and keep the wings on the other half to prevent the big flames.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
Awesome! I'm very picky with sticky buns...and these we near perfect. Next time I will add an addition 1/2 cup - 1 cup of sugar to the dough and use a bit more cinnamon in the filling!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
I was searching for a good chocolate chunk cookie recipe when I found this. I substituted 2 cups of chopped bittersweet bakers chocolate for the chocolate chips and they turned out fantastic. I was also just making these to pack for lunches...so i wanted smaller cookies...not giant ones. So I figured if i size the dough on the cookie sheets to what i normally do, they will turn out the normal size. I was wrong....these cookies spread alot and were quite big...And I ended up baking them for about 17-18minutes. But still a delicious recipe!

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This is my second time making these. The first time I followed the recipe identically, and they were AMAZING! The dough is amazing to work with, I was done with rolling them within a half hour. Second time around I followed some other reviews about the baking of them, the dough was perfect and I didn't alter a thing. I boiled them in shallow baking soda water for about a little less then a minute. Then I baked them from 10 minutes at 400. They came out amazing! This is a perfect recipe!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I followed a few of the other members suggestion. I double battered and I tried baking them. When i took the out of the oven...the batter wasn't fully cooked...and they were still quite white. I was making home made fries as well, so I through them in the oil for around 30 seconds. They turned out perfect.

Kellogg's® Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
So delicious! Remind me of the peanut butter rice krispie treats you can buy at the store. I did omit the butterscotch chips, personal preference...me nor my boyfriend are fond of them, and used nearly 3.5 cups of semisweet chips for topping. Another user suggested double the topping and i second that. I just covered the tops of them with 3.5 cups.

Oriental Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
Quick and Tasty! I left out water chestnut as a personal preference and my boyfriend added another handful of cashews to his serving. Easy to manipulate! AS I found out the next day, this salad doesn't keep very well. (the effect is similar to what happens to ceasar salad)

Turkey Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Would love to give this a 5, but I made a few too many changes...I followed the other suggestions and I used real garlic. I steamed my vegetables instead of putting them in the pasta water (in order to keep the nutrients). For vegetables I used broccoli carrots mushrooms zucchini red and green pepper. I cut the green peppers in the sauce..I also used chicken instead of turkey because its what I had on hand...

I was on a time budget so I made the filling and filled the potatoes before hand. When it was almost time for dinner I put them in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes! turned out perfect

Easy Valentine Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
I have been searching for a while now for a cookie that my mum use to make for me to bring to school for valentines day. To make the cookie more like hers, I omitted the icing and used seedless raspberry jam and then afterwards drizzled have of them with white chocolate. I'm not sure if anyone else has suggested this....but instead of trying to fight to get the cookies up and keeping there shape, roll the dough out on parchment paper...cut...remove excess dough then put in the oven on a cookie sheet! Definelty will be making again!

In fear that the mushroom wouldn't be cooked enough, I added them while still browning the chicken. Came out great! Will make again!

Special K Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
I've been looking for this recipe for years! Its nearly identical in taste to a cookie I was in love with one year at camp. I didn't have special K on hand, so I used cornflakes, and was still delicious. I'm sure any type of grain cereal could be substituted and they would still be amazing! (I remember at camp there were sometimes cheerios or rice crispies) Thanks for the amazing recipe!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
As suggested by another user, I cut the cream of tarter in half, and I'm sure glad I did. I can still taste a bit of it and if I added the full amount I can see these cookies sitting in the cookie jar until they go stale! Besides that I followed word for word and they were delicious!
