About this Cook
Recently moved away from home and out on my own, and when I did realized I had to start cooking everyday, instead of just when I felt like it! Began cooking with my mom as early as I can remember....but didn't start making things on my own, such as cookies or brownies, until I was 7 and its be downhill since then!
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecakes always seem to interest me, I'm still trying to perfect them. I also love making Lasagna and other pasta dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every weekend, despite what time we get up at, me and my boyfriend cook a big breakfast.
My cooking triumphs
Once my dad told me that I had made the best lasagna he had ever tasted, out ranking my mom and grandma on that was amazing!
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list! When I was about 8 I misread tsp of salt...and added a tbsp of salt, not the best brownies I've made. My first experience with breads I added the wrong kind of yeast and wondered why when I pulled my cinnamon buns out of the oven they looked the same as they were going in..

Lemon Dijon Wings
Overall pretty good recipe, but next time I will cut the salt to half. I also double the marinade recipe and a bit more then half for marinading and the other half for basting so I didn't have to boil the marinade after. Main issue we had with this recipe wasn't the recipes fault...but moreso our bbqs. The marinade kept dripping down and causing insta-flames which in turn burnt the wings. My Mother in law told us a way around is to have half the bbq on the right temperature and the other side off and keep the wings on the other half to prevent the big flames.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns
Awesome! I'm very picky with sticky buns...and these we near perfect. Next time I will add an addition 1/2 cup - 1 cup of sugar to the dough and use a bit more cinnamon in the filling!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
I was searching for a good chocolate chunk cookie recipe when I found this. I substituted 2 cups of chopped bittersweet bakers chocolate for the chocolate chips and they turned out fantastic. I was also just making these to pack for lunches...so i wanted smaller cookies...not giant ones. So I figured if i size the dough on the cookie sheets to what i normally do, they will turn out the normal size. I was wrong....these cookies spread alot and were quite big...And I ended up baking them for about 17-18minutes. But still a delicious recipe!
