About this Cook
I always plan a weekly menu and get most of the groceries in one trip. I like quick and easy during the week and spend more time on the weekends. I like make ahead recipes for entertaining so I won't be in the kitchen too much while guests are here.

Love my crockpots, panini maker, food processor, blender and mixer.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On holidays I like to make 1 or 2 things that my Mom and Grandma used to make (they were great cooks) plus try a few new things.

Wave Your Flag Cheesecake
I made this for a Veteran's Day Celebration - was perfect! Followed the recipe exactly - was pretty and all of it was eaten.

Hearty Split Pea Soup
Followed recipe exactly - great soup - so easy! Great way to use leftover ham. Love this kind of recipe!
