Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
WOW!! This is SO GOOD! I have to admit, when my friend first told me about "Root Beer" pork, I was skeptical. Then she told me that her chef fiance loved it, so I decided that was a good reason to give it a try. I'm SO glad I did! I cooked it in just root beer for 6 hours, then drained it and cooked it in the BBQ sauce for an hour. When I tasted it, it MELTED in my mouth! It is SO GOOD!!! Plus it was super easy! Highly recommended!!

Barbecued Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
WOW!!! This is UNBELIEVABLE!!! This was by far the BEST brisket I have ever tasted!!! I did a few things differently. Instead of cooking on high for 4 hours, I did low for 8 hours. And instead of using onion powder, I finely chopped half of a white onion and threw it in the sauce to cook with the meat. I also put the entire amount of sauce in the crock pot with the brisket and made a half recipe of sauce and used it when I served the meat. It was such a hit! I highly recommened this! It MELTS in your mouth! And the sauce is to DIE FOR! YUM!!!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
So good! This stew turns out so flavorful and hearty. Perfect for a cold night in winter. The broth was nice and thick, not at all runny. I followed Corrine's recipe, too, except I didn't use the beef stew seasoning, and I didn't think it needed it. I also threw in a 14 oz can of chopped tomatoes because I like a tomato-y flavor in my stews. My husband went GOOFY over it!!! He had 4 bowls!!!

Cucumber Sunomono

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
This recipe is super easy and my family loved it! I have way too many cucumbers from my garden this year and this was a great way to use them. It is refreshing and light, which is perfect for summer. Make sure you use fresh ginger!!! Don't use the ginger spice in your cupboard!!!

Spinach and Bacon Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Delicious!! The Worcestershire and Tabasco add a ton of flavor. I put in more bacon (I'm a bacon fanatic) than the recipe calls for, 1 1/2 lbs. I also used 2 cups of chopped fresh spinach, instead of frozen, so you could really taste it. My family loved it (my son said it was 'amazing'!) and I will definitely be making this again!

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Wow! This was REALLY good! At first I was hesistant about the mayo and butter thing, but it was so flavorful and did not overpower the flavor of the fish. In fact, it complemented it! My husband said it tasted like something you'd get from a restaurant. Better than that even! I followed the exact recipe except for the onion. I put onion powder instead, which worked great. Will definitely make this again!

YUM! So good! I thought it was a perfect addition to my prime rib Christmas dinner! I didn't think it was too heavy or creamy - just right! I will definitely make it again with some steak.

Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
YUM!! This is the best key lime pie I've ever had. Its perfect. Not too tart, just right. Make sure you make your own crust. I bought a pre-made graham cracker crust (Keebler, I think) and it wasn't good. I will definitely make the homemade crust next time.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
This recipe was good. But I like a different kind of meat on my French dips. This was more like a pot roast sandwich, which wasn't bad, but not what I wanted. My husband LOVED it!

Tzatziki Sauce (Yogurt and Cucumber Dip)

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2013
Delicious! I did change it up a bit. I used plain Greek yogurt (didn't strain it), added another garlic clove, added way more lemon juice, and used dill instead of all the mint. I did add a tiny bit of mint. After letting it sit in the fridge for a few hours, it was so good!!! I used it to put on some falafel, but I found myself just eating it with a spoon!! I couldn't stop!!!

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
One word - SOURDOUGH! I used sourdough bread and this stuffing was AMAZING!! Yum! I also used unsalted butter and added the salt by hand. I grew up on nasty Stovetop stuffing, so I've never liked stuffing. Once I made this, I am a full fledged believer!! It's now my favorite part of Thanksgiving!

This recipe is the BEST!!! If you've ever been to a Hawaiian luau, you'll be instantly teleported back! Minus the sun and hula! It tastes JUST like the pork at a luau!!! I made it with an island style rice cooked with coconut milk! YUM!!!
