About this Cook
I am a college student aspiring to become a corporate investigator. I grew up watching my mother and grandma cook, and now I use those skills to whip up tasty meals in my very own college dorm!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking rice, especially Nigerian style fried rice. I am also a baker, and my specialty is cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is a huge cooking day for my family and I. The typical menu consists of Jollof rice (Nigerian spicy rice), spinach stew, oven roasted turkey, carrot cake, cheesecake, and so much more!
My cooking tragedies
My most tragic cooking tragedy occured a while ago when I was baking chocolate chip cookies. I forgot that I had halved the recipe, so I put in the full amount of vanilla (very strong). The cookies came out... unedible!

Best Brownies
AMAZING! I definitely went to brownie heaven after taking a bite out of these. I made them without the frosting. It is perfect warm, paired with ice cream. My only change would be to leave it in the oven for no more than 25 minutes

Banana Muffins II
Pretty good recipe, although I did add some milk because I found that the mixture was a bit too thick. It turned out great with the added milk.

Carrot Cake III
I followed the suggestions of the other users and reduced the amount of oil used (I used 2/3 cup oil and 2 packets/cups of motts apple sauce). I used walnuts instead of pecans. Turned out great!
