My favorite things to cook
Chicken. However hubby doesn't like chicken too much so I cook other things, recently obsessed with Asian style cooking. I love to make sushi rolls and ombushi, and donburi bowl-style meals. Kids love it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roasting a turkey or a Prime rib, making pie crust and cake from scratch, milk recipies including making homemade cheese. I grew up on a farm and learned how to make mady good foods.
My cooking triumphs
I marinated a turkey for a week in wine and many other spices in a clean 5 gallon bucket in a snowbank. It was the awesomest turkey I have ever tasted. I had the convienience of having and outdoor refrigerator (snow) to keep turkey cold while it soaked up the flavors.
My cooking tragedies
When a cake collapses it's a sad thing. Also when you turn a cake out of the pan and a big chunk stays in the pan.. uh oh!!
