Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
This was an great recipe & very filing. Makes a lot; I have a family of five and there were plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Had a much better flavor the following day I thought. I made a few changes after reading other suggestins. I used about 3.5 lbs of potatoes, can of cream of celery & chicken. I cubed the potatoes so they were bite size boiled for 10-12 min. As suggested in another review I heated butter, sour cream, cheese and soups in sauce pan prior to pouring over potatoes. In addition I also added minced garlic to taste, 1.5 C parmeson cheese with the soup mixture. I also added additional ham (needed with all the potatoes if you like ham & the flavor it adds) & mixed vegetables. I would recommend this recipe. you can add so much to the original recipe and it is perfect for a cold winter night for a stick to the ribs meal.My husband said it was perfect after working outside all day.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
These are perfect for Sunday game day, there is a lot of meat/cheese to these. They are alot like a hot pocket but much better :) The only thing I changed was that I used smoked turkey instead of ham. Strongly suggest letting them set for at least 10-15 min. before cutting. The whole family loved them, my husband & son both said it needed more meat but they love extra meat, I will definately add more turkey to the next batch. This recipe can be very versatile by just changing the meats & cheeses. Definitely a keeper in our house.

Deep Fried Jalapeno Slices

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
These little bite size snacks were great. Kids loved them, we served them with jalapeno cheese, they were gone in minutes. One suggestion I would recommend; coat them in flour first prior to the beer mixture. I dredge them in flour using a ziplock bag (much easier & less mess. If you like a thicker breading repeat process twice)

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
I am not a big fan of BBQ, but this is a great sauce. I followed the recipe to the letter. (I used Jim Beam) Next time I will use less brown sugar only because it was a little sweet for me; but my family who loves BBQ liked it the way it was. I doubled the batch and canned the remaining sauce. I will definately be making this again. Thanks for the recipe.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
My first attempt at cinnamon rolls. Flavor wise they were wonderful. They weren't as fluffy as I would have liked but I know that was my fault not the recipe. I kneaded to much flour in. I will try again..as they say practice makes perfect :)
