Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Just made these and eating one right now straight out of the oven - they are delish!!! Only changes I made were I left out the raisins (family doesn't like them) added 1/3 cup chopped and toasted walnuts in the batter and then to the topping (didn't have any wheat germ) added 1/4 cup quick oats, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbls. flour, and 2 tbls. melted butter to the chopped walnuts. I love these muffins just wish I didn't have to dirty everything in the kitchen to make them. LOL

Old German Honey Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
My son made these for German Club and they were okay - very heavy on the honey taste - don't worry about the ginger - can hardly taste it - he followed the directions exactly and they turned out very flat -should have added more flour but was worried they would be hard. Probably won't make them again.

Kicked Up Cuervo Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
edible- and that's about it!! Added 2 tbls. brown sugar to try and mellow out the zing of lime. My sauce was orange and very chunky (I followed the directions to the T) I new my family would never eat it with all the chunks in it so I put it through a sieve and then it was very runny - it did coat the ribs nicely but did not look anything like the ribs in the picture. I will not waste my time or ingredients on this one again. I ended up making half the ribs with Ray's and half with this - my 15 and 10 year old did not want to even try this one. Needs to go back to the drawing board in my opinion.

Brian's Easy Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
Made this once already and we enjoyed it immensely - going to make it again this week. Used tilapia by mistake the first time so going to use the flounder this time.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Very Sweet - Which can be a good thing. Followed directions exactly for the cookie and they were too flat; they tasted like a pb praline - added 1/4 cup more oats and they turned out much better (will probably increase flour next time also, to get a thicker Girl Scout type cookie). The filling is questionable as written in my opinion - made some cookies on Friday evening and then made more today (Sunday) - we ate several of the ones from Friday plain and then I filled all of them today using the following recipe: 3 tbls. marg. 1/3 cup peanut butter, 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar and 1 tbls. cream. Not sure how the original recipe would work because of all the pb and cream - mine would have run off the cookies. My family didn't think the filling added that much flavor to the cookie.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
This is the first recipe that I have rated and do so with eagerness. Made this for my family and they loved it!! My boys complained for an hour before dinner because they "don't like lasagna" - they do now! I am adding it to my catering menu - per my husbands recommendation! Thank you for an awesome recipe!
