Simply delicious and a keeper recipe. Made a few adjustments based upon the other folks suggestions. Specifically, I dredged a 2lb chuck shoulder london broil (trimmed of all fat) in an egg wash, then in a flour and fresh ground pepper mix and then browned it. Mixed 2 cans low fat mushroom soup, 1 package of onion soup mix, 3/4 cup red wine, 1/2 cup of beef broth, 1/2 beef bullion cube, 1 tsp of flour, 1/8 tsp of thyme, 1/8 tsp parsley and 1 small bay left in a 6 qt crock pot. Placed chopped potatoes in crockpot, placed meat on top of potatoes and baby carrots around the meat. Cooked on low for 6 and a half hours. Came home to a perfectly cooked meal. Doesn't get simplier than this. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
