About this Cook
I wouldn't say I'm an expert cook, but I haven't come across one person who disliked my cooking..yet! Even my mom likes my cooking and I learned from her~ I prefer my mother's cooking over my grandma's!! I feel that I'm still learning the ropes but have been cooking since I was able to boil an egg (which was at a very young age in our home).
My favorite things to cook
I like to try different dishes - lately it's been revolving around chicken. I'd have to say that my favorite dish was a chicken with artichokes in wine sauce served with white rice and a side of roasted veggies - oh my. I also made tilapia (pan fried) with that wine sauce - oh my! delicious!
My cooking tragedies
I wanted to impress my then boyfriend, now husband by making him shark steaks..Well, I learned that not everyone's stove/oven is the same as yours.. I put the steaks in the broiler and it went into flames! Luckily, only one side of the steak got charred. We were still able to eat it (Very good, rich texture) and it tasted delicious! I made some white rice, shrimp scampi, salad and shark steaks (still edible).

Baked Haddock
wow!! this tasted amazing and perfect for a quick and easy dinner!! i used haddock fillet and man, was it delicious!! I did add a few things...i reduced the milk to 1/2 cup and added 1 egg, salt and pepper to the milk mixture. I saw reviews on people just using eggs or just milk so i thought why not both. For the dry mix, i used seasoned breadcrumbs and added garlic powder, onion powder, and dill weed, parm cheese, and drizzled butter.. the fish baked to perfection at 500 for 15 mins. at the end i drizzled lemon juice over it. I also baked it on a cookie sheet and put the fish on parchment paper - no stickiness, fish just slid right off. DELICIOUS!! thanks for the recipe.

Banana Cake IX
WOW! This cake is delicious! I followed the recipe as is, just tweaked it, instead of using shortening, I used butter (no shortening in stock), added 1 more banana (since I had 4 really riped ones), and added probably 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice. Baked it at 375 for 30 minutes, DELICIOUS!!!! Very moist.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef
Made this dish for my hubby (Army vet) and he loved it! I added some seasonings of my own to give more flavor, but overall, this was very good!
