Ornament Dough

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
This worked great for ornaments. I was able to get about 40 out of one batch of dough. I would definitely recommend kneading the dough a lot. My first batch puffed up, while the second one (which had to be re-worked & rolled out) did not. I also had to re-bake them for an additional 30 minutes to get them to harden all the way. Good, easy project for my 5yr old son & I.

Beef 'n' Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
Loved this! We did add a small can of black olives just because they needed to be used. Number of servings is also very accurate with this recipe.

Shmunky's Colby Jack Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
These smelled really great & the texture was fantastic, but they didn't have the really cheesy taste that I was expecting. We will be making them again since they are so easy, but using sharp cheddar instead. Maybe adding a garlic butter on top like suggested by other postings

Jif® Peanut Butter Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly, but it didn't turn out very good. It didn't seem to have enough flavor for me. Also I think the oven temp should be lower, mine started "burning" after only 20 minutes at 300. I don't think I'll try this again

Gelatin-Flavored Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
This was much easier than I'd imagined. I did some modifications as suggested by others, 1/2 C butter and a more popcorn. I also added 1 Tbsp of honey. I think 10min was a little long in my oven, but that could just be me. I made this for my son's Kindergarten class, used strawberry jello & added a spoon full of milk chocolate chips to each serving after it had cooled. They all loved it! We'll be doing this again I'm sure.

Toddler Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I made this recipe as written & it was great. My 6yr old & my 8m old both loved them. We put a small bit of cool whip on them for a dessert treat that we all enjoyed!! Thanks for sharing

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
2nd REVIEW followed the recipe exact & the consistency was better & cooked through in about 35 minutes. The bean taste was less evident, but for a hard-core brownie lover there's just no substitute for the real thing. This is a good recipe for someone that is trying to stay healthy & willing to compromise on what they consider to be a delicious brownie. Unfortunately, I am going to sacrifice the healthy aspect & stick to the real thing from now on.
