Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2014
These were DELICIOUS!!!! My family absolutely loved them! Since there's only 3 eating these I cut this recipe down to 7 servings, thinking that would be small enough, but I had enough to freeze and enough to feed my two kids breakfast one morning. They make large, fluffy, pieces of heaven that everyone should try!!!!

Absolutely YUMMY!!!! My kids even went back for seconds!! Reminded me of a slaw that my grandmother made when I was a kid. So glad I found this!

Pudding Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
So I read the reviews and cooked my first dozen at 350 degrees for 8 1/2 minutes. The bottoms of the cookies were close to burning and the tops were just browning, so I turned the oven to 325 degrees and cooked them for 14 minutes. PERFECTION! The tops and bottoms are equally done and they don't stick together in the cookie jar. In case you were wondering how I knew they were browning, I used white cake mix with banana cream pudding, then filled the center with Cool Whip vanilla frosting. YUM! My family loves this recipe, definitely a keeper!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
My family LOVED this!!!!! The only changes I made was that I sauteed fresh mushrooms with the onions for about 5 minutes, and I used beef broth instead of boullion cubes. It is delicious!!!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This was AWESOME!!!!! Even my husband, who is very picky about his wings, LOVED these. Can't wait for Super Bowl to give me another excuse to fix these.

Springfield Style Cashew Chicken I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This was sooo good! I did make a few changes to get the fat content down. First I mixed 2 cups of flour with 1/4 cup of cornstarch and sauteed the chicken in about 1/3 cup of oil until brown. I removed the chicken and let it drain, then poured any leftover oil out of the pan. I added the onion, and the sauce mix to the pan, cooked it til thick, and added the chicken back. It wasn't as crunchy, but it was great. Next time I'm just going to use sauteed chicken without any breading.

Pineapple and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
I cheated!!!! I didn't have any pineapple or apple juice, but I did have an orange smoothie mix packet. So instead of juice I used a cup of milk, smoothie mix, and ice with the rest of the ingredients and this made the best smoothie. My kids absolutely loved it. Thanks for the idea.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I guess I expected it to taste somewhat like KFC or T. Marzetti's and it didn't. It was OK, probably won't make it again.

Lemon Mint Pasta Salad

Maybe it was my tastebuds, but I did not care for this recipe. Not one of my family members liked this dish. Will not make this again.

Oven Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
If you go by this recipe your potatoes will burn to a crisp. I should have gone by the tips from the other reviewers, because I ended up with black pebbles that had a burnt onion taste. I will make this again, but I will use the directions from the other reviewers.

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Perfection

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
I thought this had a good taste, but the feta cheese is really strong. I would have liked this more if the cheese would've been more of an accent taste. My husband thought it was alright, and my kids hated it. If I made this again I would use either cream cheese or ricotta cheese in place for the feta and only use a little feta for taste. Also, I would use italian bread crumbs instead of all the work for the coating.

Sausage Potato Medley

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
My family loved this!! I even added an extra pound of sausage and there wasn't a leftover found. It reminded me a breakfast casserole without the eggs. Next time I will make scrambled eggs and biscuits to go with it. Great recipe.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
This is truly the easiest and best tasting cheesecake out there. I have only tried to make a cheesecake one other time and it was a complete disaster. Thanks to the earlier reviewers that said not to overbeat, to put it in the oven and forget it, and the water bath. If you use these tips this is no fail. I used 1 1/2 cups of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips added to the batter and made it a chocolate cheesecake and it was marvelous. I have so far made this recipe four times in the last two weeks and used it as end of the year gifts for my childrens' teachers. Thank you for great recipe.

Pineapple Macadamia Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
This was GREAT!!! My entire family even had seconds. I went with the advice from others and put my seasoning in the flour and did a more traditional breading and it turned out perfect. I will make this definitely again. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
This was really good. Overall this was one of the best banana bread recipes I've come across. I only gave it 4 stars because the best banana bread belongs to Howard Johnson's. Already have plans to make this again.

Orange Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
It was OK. There was definitely a problem with getting the caramel out of the bottom of the pan once it cooled a little. My kids really liked it, but my husband hated it.

Slow Cooker Manly Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
This was a wonderful meal. I did make a couple of changes though. First I coated my stew meat with some flour, salt, and pepper then browned it in a skillet with a little vegetable oil. Then when I combined everything into the slow cooker I added two bags of frozen stew vegetables at the beginning. This did get really thick so I used a little beef broth to thin it. My family loved it! Will definitely make this again.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
I used an 8lb pork shoulder roast and this was wonderful! It took almost nine hours for it to fully cook but definitely worth the wait. My family even had extra servings and I still have enough left over for another meal.
