Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
this is a great dish. I added 1 granny smith apple, red onion, and a few walnuts for the crunch (I omitted the fried noodles). I also added a little garlic and fresh ginger to the dressing. My fiancee LOVED it....THANKS!

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Thanks for the great recipe...I really don't think I will buy ceasar dressing anymore when its this easy (and delicious) to make at home! My only modification was in preparing the croutons since I already have a method I like. I pour the olive oil into a big zip lock bag, then add which ever herbs and spices I'm in the mood for (usually minced garlic or garlic salt, a pinch of crushed rosemary, and/or an Italian herb blend), then add the bread cubes, close the bag and shake it up. That way all the bread gets coated well. Then I stick them in the oven at 325 until they are golden.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This dish is great! My boyfriend took a "break" from eating because he was full, then went back for more. I did add a few more spices since we like to assault our taste buds with a burst of flavor. Along with curry powder I added 1tsp cumin, 1tsp graham masala, 1tsp tumeric, and 1tsp ground coriander. I made saffron rice to go with it...soooo good :)

These cookies were delish and super easy to make! I added 1/4cup flour and used 1/2cup brown sugar plus 1/2cup white sugar, and 1tsp vanilla extract. They turned out perfectly!

Indian Eggplant - Bhurtha

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I was worried about the texture, so instead of baking the eggplant and scooping out the flesh, I cut it into chuncks, then soaked in salt water overnight (my mother always does this with eggplants...I think it takes away some of the bitterness). The next day I drained the eggplant peices and placed them on paper towels briefly. Meanwhile, I heated olive oil in a skillet, then added the eggplant and continued with the rest of the recipe. I added 3 more cloves of garlic for flavor and bam! it was delish.

Chelsea's Bacon Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I was very disappointed with this meal :( The bacon came out brown and desiccated around the edges and pink in the middle. Also, the skin on the chicken was soggy...not crisp the way I like it.

Bhindi Masala (Spicy Okra Curry)

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
I found this recipe bland. I added 3 cloves garlic, a little bit of fresh ginger, and used 2tsp garam masala curry powder. I also added 1 tsp chicken boullion paste. Thanks for the recipe.

Low Carb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This recipe left me wanting more, but not more cheesecake. The texture was off. It just didn't taste like cheesecake.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Wacky Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
I'm only rating the frosting here ( I used another wacky chocolate cake recipe). As written, I found the frosting recipe yields a grainy texture, not to mention the peanut butter taste was a bit intense. It just wasn't creamy enough for me and I didn't want to put the entire cake back in the oven to broil so instead I followed the recipe up until the last step then added 1/2 package cream cheese. Creamed this together, then frosted the cake (obviously omitting the broiler). It was delicious this way.
