Guinness® and Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
Tasted great, yet it is more of a really thick mousse rather than a cheesecake. Hard to serve. I reccomend putting it in the freezer before serving to prevent it from falling apart. Very rich.

Bacon Roll Ups II

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
These were great! I also made a vegetarian version using veggie bacon, and they turned out great! I used wheat bread, and flattened the bread with a rolling pin before spreading the cream chz mixture on. A great affordable appetizer.

Wine Sauce for Seafood

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
This was excellent! I simmered it longer than the instructions said, and also added baby shrimp to this. Poured it over asparagus, and would be great with pasta and some sliced black olives! Olive Garden has a dish very similar called shrimp scampi.

Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This was excellent! I made it for some friends, it didn't last long. The only adaptations were that i added a green bell pepper, and used 3 cans of diced tomatoes, i pureed the sauce after it had cooled down to room temperature the night before. I then reheated it the following night for friends. Great served with parmesan cheese!

Coconut Tilapia with Apricot Dipping Sauce

This really is an excellent dish. I baked the tilapia at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes i believe and turned it twice to crisp both sides. it turned out wonderful. the apricot dipping sauce is excellent!

I used a can of peach pie filling, regular flour with a teaspoon of baking powder, and cooked an extra 15-20 minutes, so about an hour total. turned out great.

Candied Almonds

These almonds turned out sticky. I was expecting a crispy almond. I wouldn't recommend this recipe.

Nutty Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
Excellent. I added about a cup of crushed walnuts to the cripsy topping. Used lime juice instead of lemon, worked out well.

Hot Spiked Cider

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
Delicious recipe! The orange tea was a great add, lessened the sweetness of the cider. I also added a dash of ground cinnamon instead of using cinnamon stick, worked out well. It was gone by the end of the night.

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
This was a nice change of pace for dinner. I followed other users recommendations and added some cayenne, just a pinch. I also added a dash of garlic powder. To top it off, I added some yellow curry spice and served it over jasmine rice. This was a great move! Made for a great meal, and the rice made the soup last longer, which was great since there was a lot of chopping involved!
