Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Excellent and very simple. My boyfriend's roommate is very picky and extremely critical of other people's cooking and even he loved it. Will be one of my "go to" recipes.

D's Skillet Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This gravy was very good. I used it over meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Used the drippings from the meatloaf (much more than 3 tbsps) and increased the flour to 3 tbsps. Also, put a dash of Worcestershire sauce and a beef bouillon cube in it just because it was on the counter and made me feel like a real chef throwing extra in. It was much lighter in color and flavor than I am use to with beef gravy and I loved it. Will be using this for shepherds pie in the future.

Peach Cobbler VI

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
I followed this recipe "as is" and it was delicious. I only hate I didn't have any ice cream to go with it. (I did make one mistake I put the peaches in the pan first then put the batter on top. I have need to pay more attention to directions. Still turned out perfect.)

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Quick and easy recipe. Used cream of potato soup instead of cream of mushroom (mushrooms gross me out) and it was good and hearty. Will definitely make again.

Roasted Red Pepper Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
Not going to lie I just barely followed this recipe. I stuffed the breast with roasted red peppers and feta, drizzled with olive oil and a dash of liquid smoke, and threw them on the George Foreman grill. Came out awesome. Fast and simple. Less than 20 minutes start to finish.

Country Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
This was my first time making a quiche. It was pretty good. I didn't have bacon so I used ham. I also shredded some potatoes and softened them with the onions. It was probably more hearty than a normal quiche but I'm a hearty guy. Next time will add green pepper.

Classic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
For me this was just okay. I didn't have bacon on hand so I used bacon grease and sliced ham. Also, didn't have green onions so I used yellow onions. My version I would only give 3 stars......I gave an extra star because it might be better without the substitutions.

Seven-Up® Cake II

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
This is the second time I made this cake. First time I didn't grease the Bundt pan well and while it was delicious it was a broken up mess. Did it right this time and added a light lemon glaze.

Hamburger Gravy

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
This was an okay recipe. Not something that I will make again. I did change somethings (added Worcestershire, onion soup mix, cut up onions cooked with the ground beef) suggested by other reviewers. It filled us up but had no WOW, like a plain bologna sandwich!

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
This cake was very moist and delicious. Only problem I had was cook time. Had to leave it in about 15 minutes longer than directions stated. This is a great cake.

These pancakes are amazing! I thought they would be heavy but came out light and fluffy. No more boxed mixes for me.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
Follow the recipes exactly and mine turned out really bland. Maybe next time I'll add more sugar and cinnamon or orange juice.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
This chicken smelled so good when it was cooking. It was a little bland but like CASSJW said you can spice it up the way you want. The meat was very juicy....I will do this one again.

Easy Fruit Cobbler

A little bland. Not really a traditional cobbler more of a fruit cake thing. Looks good in the picture.

Macaroni and Cheese for Two

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
This is my Mom's recipe minus the cayenne and black pepper mixed in with the egg and milk.....brought back memories. If you top with more cheese or bread crumbs it may stop the noodles on top from getting hard and yucky.

Chicken with Rice and Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
This is a good meal. (Check out my picture above. Yeah.....don't be jealous.) I made the mistake of using pre-ground thyme so that flavor overwhelmed the gravy. Will use less next time. I had never cooked chicken in butter.....nice. My gravy turned out darker than in the other pictures but still good. Will definitely make again.

Crispy Oven-Fried Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
This is a good dish. I mis-read the recipe and bought whiting. I added some glazed roasted pecans and almonds to the croutons, which added a sweet, earthy flavor. Others had dipped in milk first then flour but when I did it this way the croutons wouldn't adhere. Will make again.

Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
This was a great breakfast dish. Only change I made was to add onions while frying the potatoes and left out the garlic salt. Good job LaDonna.

Breakfast Pies

I was truly lazy with this one. I used egg beaters, bacon bits, hot sauce (gotta be Texas Pete), mild cheddar. Still awesome!
