Amish Friendship Bread Starter

My mother made this when I was younger and I recently rediscovered it. I baked the bread and brought it to work. Everyone loved it so it was easy to pass around the extra batter. Best compliment was that it tasted like a huge cinnamon roll.

Zesty Zucchini and Squash

I love zucchini and squash but my husband hates vegetables. He does, however, love spicy food. So this was a great way for him to try new food. I love it and it's spicy so he doesn't mind the flavor of the vegetables.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples

The apples in this recipe were great on their own. The sea bass didn't come out very well. I think my piece was too thick, it didn't pan fry in the time allotted and ended up burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. I might try it again with a thinner piece of fish.

Fancy Brussels Sprouts

This was ok. I agree that the sugar cut some of the bitter taste of the sprouts. I don't recommend scaling down the recipe though, the water measurements didn't come out right, too little water.

Roasted Corn on the Cob

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

This sauce is amazing! I tried it on salmon and for some reason it didn't work as well. My husband put it on mashed potatoes. I love that you get a citrus flavor without using citrus. I'm going to try it on chicken next. Thanks!

Asparagus Chicken Fajitas

These fajitas had a good light flavor. I also didn't marinate the chicken. I cooked the chicken until almost heated thru, then removed them from the pan. Then I cooked the onions and peppers, added the asparagus and chicken, then added the dressing and lemon and cooked on medium until everything was fully cooked. This recipe doesn't need precise measurements to turn out well. I also added salsa and cilantro at the end. Overall a good easy recipe
