Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I was a bit low on ketchup so tweaked it a little by making my own ketchup to add to the mix, and I sadly didn't have any liquid smoke, but all the same it turned out great! The ratio for ingredients is perfect for give a good starting point to make a BBQ sauce that will suit anyone's tastes. I served bread with it for my family to assemble as they like, but later had as a snack and can tell you it is amazing on Ritz ;)

Thunderbird Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
Excellent base recipe! Simple and good as is, but a few simple additions make it amazing! I often use this recipe for game as well, antelope, elk, or deer, and just lengthen the cooking time for tenderness and to decrease the gamey flavor. I always add some veggies and it makes a wonderful roast/stew with gravy. Our favorite is this recipe with elk instead of the chuck roast, adding carrots and potatoes halfway into the cooking time! YUM!

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
Wonderful! This batch goes a long way but it also goes FAST! We made it as described but with slightly less sugar and it was fantastic. Those who wanted to spiked their punch wih Coconut Rum which was a great combination - made a very tropical drink! This time for a baby shower I used one orange and one lemon jello to get a nice bright orange color, only 1/3 cup lemon juice, one frozen lemonaide concentrate, and only about a half cup of sugar. It is a nice change in flavor - slightly tarter with all the citrus and very good!
